so I would definitely say it is a noob weapon. And hurr derr there are noob weapons, they are lbaled noob weapons because anyone can use them and get kills the grenade launcher is one of those weapons.

I'm pretty sure anyone can use any weapon in a game to kill opponents.

the sad thing is chozo, is that they can't. I've talked to people who were literally unable to kill people with other weapons so they jsut didn't use them. It is a fact that some people, whether through some force of nature or unwillingness to learn can not kill people with certain weapons.

the reason it's noob is because if you went into a game with just a noob tube you would be even or better than people who have more skill and/or expierience than you simply because you have it. That's what makes a weapon noobish.

Seriously, what game gets away with putting a one-hit-kill area-effect weapon on maps with so many long narrow corridors? It isn't a matter of noob, it's a matter of bad game and we should have expected this when the game was released without an extensive public beta testing stage unlike for all the other COD multiplayers.

Wow, seriously? I had no idea it was that bad! I don't play the CoD games or Modern Warfare so those examples were a little lost to me, the only shooter I tend to play is Gears of War 2 with my brothers online and two of our mates in Horde Mode mostly.

I stay away from most FPS titles because in multiplayer, I'm just not that good at em.

Noob tubes are okay if

A. You use them strategically, not just firing at random.
B. They aren't overpowered to the point where it's like a tactical missile on your gun.
C. You use them in conjunction with other tactics.

For example, this setup screams n00b, to use MW2 as an example: Tube + danger close + one man army. You know he's just running around the map using grenades of everyone in sight.

Uhu.... The reason why it was so hated in CoD4 was because you needed little to no skill to use it. Just point at the general direction, observe: in the general direction, and you're 95% gueranteed to land a kill. If you stack that with some "perks" or "specs" that makes the explosion more effective, well fuck, fire it into a room and everything in there is going to be reduced to dust and ashes.

Take away that idiotic piece of shit addon and I'll bet you every penny I have in my bank account that retarded idiots would have significantly less kills and many more deaths. If you're shit at a game, don't play it or get better. But ffs don't accommodate the shit players just because they're shit. I suck at Counter Strike: Source so I don't play it. It just pisses me off. The idiot who thought that putting in a grenade launcher in a fps can go fuck himself along with the whole development team that noded their stupid heads in agreement.

I for one am not going to miss it once developers get it through their thick skulls that it inbalances the game and makes it boring to play. However I will agree on the grenade launcher is excellent against campers and they implemented it pretty good in BC2. I'd rather just use grenades then having a weapon that is constantly missused and abused in every fucking game it's included in. BC2 is no exception.

BUT since people are dickheads, my wish for a balanced and fun game is swiftly dissapearing out the window. Make a game where anyone can get kills, regardless of skill. That's a fantastic attitude for creating a multiplayer...

honestly the noob tube CAN be balanced, they just need to make it take longer to fire, or have it wobbly so you have to stop and be steady (like sniping) to use it, then it would actually take a decent amount of skill and knowledge of where the people were at or are going, rather than just INSTA KILL A QUADRANT OF THE MAP

it has always been noob tube, i have seen it called pro pipe maybe once or twice, its a noob tube and always will be a noob tube, its always OP to the point where it gets ridiculously taken advantage of in just about any game that has it, thats why they need to allow freaking booting and custom games in ranked games so you dont have to deal with that shit

Meh. Long story short, I prefer to be able to scope in and drill holes in people's craniums from a mile away. Grenade launchers seem pretty lame to me.

But that's only because I'm the one on the receiving end 99% of the time.

Using Bad Company 2 as a comparison, I'd say it's a Pro Pipe. It's got more uses than blowing people up, now. I can clear cover, shred shrubberies, and topple towers.

a 40mm grenade launcher can be referred to many things but really its only a type of ammunition and really any M203 attchments in any game is going to own and kicks the opponents arse
