And:
- The Powerpuff Girls
- Ed Edd n' Eddy, Johnny Bravo
- Courage the Cowardly Dog
- Eek the Cat (especially the affiliated Terrible Thunder Lizards)
- Metabots (whoever mentioned that before: thánk you, I wanted a metabot a gazillion times more than I wanted a Pokémon, robots > weird animals, shows I've always been a nerd)
- Dexter's Lab
- Biker Mice from Mars
- Bobby's World
- The Rugrats (an incredibly fascinating cartoon, the plots were so simple, but seen through the eyes of toddlers they became grand adventures, brilliant)
- Batman: The Animated Series
- X-Men: The Animated Series
- Earthworm Jim
- The Tick
- Darkwing Duck
- Samurai Pizza Cats (probably my favourite cartoon of all time)
- ReBoot
- Rocko's Modern Life
- The Rescue Rangers
- TaleSpin

Is that enough or do I have to go on to prove the dominance of the 90's?
proof that the 90's owned, though like some have said we did get the likes of Avatar and Samurai Jack (and if now one has said Jack then I've said it) from the 00's

Its most likely nostalgia speaking, but.... I have to say 90s cartoons.

But then again, the 90s has Batman: The Animated Series in its roster.... which almost makes it unfair for the 00s with their recent attempts at Batman.
Seriously, I fucking loved that show as a kid

There's something incredibly unnerving about that. Fred reminds me a lot of Johnny The Homicidal Maniac actually, except you kinda liked Johnny - Fred's just freaky.
You're totally right btw. Psychotic tendencies indeed. The great thing about CTCD is the delivery - the colours are mentally jarring, the voice acting is abrasive and the setting is desolate, etc. That's why 90's cartoons are better - they stimulate the mind. You couldn't put CTCD on these days.
Did anyone ever see the episode with the weird man with snake hair? He had one of those vinyl record players and moved his head in such a weird way, I had nightmares for weeks.
I cannot stop nodding in agreement while reading this.

You've summed it up better than I ever could.
+1 to you, good sir.

I can't even think of a single decent cartoon from the 2000's

Unless you include stuff like Futurama and South Park but I'm pretty sure we're talking kid's cartoons like X-men and Batman: the animated series.

Not as well schooled in 00's cartoons, (though I am a TOTAL cartoon junkie), but...meh...it's hard to tell.

The oo's cartoons have better quality than a lot of the 90's ones. Think of the hand drawn "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Batman Beyond." While the direction in the first was altogether stellar and the animation execution was pretty good, it didn't have the smooth, shiny animation of the "Beyond" series. I like both, with slight preference for the Animated Series...but...hmm, tough call.

My personal love is for much older Warner Brother and Disney cartoons, as they have a very loving craftsmanship to them. Tom and Jerry too. Impressively attractive and fluid...plus there are some gags you just can't get away with now. The racism does make me cringe, but I still laugh uproariously at the likes of the "Gremlins from the Kremlin" beating up Hitler.

Let us compare:

90's had Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy
00's has Total Drama Island

You be the judge.

Also like lwm3398 said, most of the good stuff from 00's was till 2005.
And then there was Avatar from 2005-08, which stands as one of the best animated products ever.

This, except the 00s had Sponge Bob. My favorite cartoon.

I think it's quite obvious that the 90's cartoons are way better than the 00's.
And don't get me started how much more awesome the 80's cartoons were. Nothing beats Saber Rider, Galaxy Rangers and the like. OK, Captain Future was late 70's but wasn't released here until early 80's.

This has to do with what, exactly? That show sucked, in my opinon.

Yes, and I recorded it, and am actually watching it now.

It is awsome.
Yes. Lots of character development, eh? What with the quicksand scene, among other things. We see a lot more of the Eds.

Also, it's just awesome.

90's cartoons...there's just no comparison. Maybe some EARLY 00's cartoons were okay, but the 90's were so much better. When I think of cartoons, I think of Loony Tunes, and Tom & Jerry, and Beavis and Butthead, and the Simpsons, not some little Mexican girl molesting her monkey.
