Amputations, because I could cope with that one without too much difficulty and I like my sweets too much to go diabetic. I would choose the 100mil, but schizophrenia is not a prospect I'm keen on, and would probably ruin my enjoyment of that vast wealth.

Easily health over money. While I do disagree with the saying 'money doesn't buy happiness', I would prefer to live happy and healthily than seriously disadvantaged with money.

I am pretty certain that the poll will lean heavily towards the 'ill stay healthy' end.

See, schizophrenia has a few features that people in general don't know about. Perhaps most importantly, it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with split or multiple personalities.

Thank you, I was going to point that out myself. I don't like it when people think schizophrenia as "imaginary friends" or "multiple personalities".

If you really wish to lose the ability to distinguish the real from the imaginary, be my guest. And I don't mean harmless imagination, what if your own mother was planning to kill you? You wouldn't just suspect that you'd know it. That sort of hallucinations. Or what if you hear voices that constantly criticize everything you do, mocking and ridiculing your every action? Again, the fact that the voices do not seem to be coming from anybody would be lost to you. Or maybe they would come from somebody. Maybe from everybody around you. How would you feel, if everyone on the street started judging you out loud? Or the crippling fear from the realization that you are being constantly watched? You were tagged and you're now being monitored and studied like those animals you see on documentaries.

I'd go with the diabetes. It seems the least severe of the costs, and also the one that money can best help. Other than turning your amputated legs into rocket launchers, of course.

Friend, that's not schizophrenia. That's DID [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissociative_identity_disorder], which is not a happy fun time. Schizophrenia is basically, in short, paranoia, delusions, hallucinations, and so forth.

I'll go with the "chop the legs off" option. Doesn't seem too bad for a substantial amount of money, and also is most definitely the least affecting choice in the long run since you'll probably have some form of replacement soon after you lose your legs. Unless you say I can't have any replacement limbs, in which case I take health over any amount of money.
