For £100,000,000 you could probably buy new legs, pancreas and brain. Getting them in and working right might be an issue, but I'm sure you could have yourself frozen until then. Maybe invest it somewhere until the treatments are ready?

Legs? HA! Who needs legs. Give me the 7,500,000 USD. ((l£ is equal to roughly 1$ 50c USD))

With that kind of money, id be more then happy to not have legs. Pretty sure my wife wouldnt be to happy about it at first, but then the 1mil USD i shove in her face would quiet her.

The real question here... would you still go through with the deal?
For 7 millions bucks? I probably would yeah. Even though the Devil would probably try to screw me over

No amount of money is worth loosing your health for, at least to me.

anyway i really have to say isn't the Diabetes option rather tame in comparison to loosing your legs, Diabetes can be controlled (i don't know about Schizophrenia), while loosing your legs is well a hell of a lot worse.

Out of those, none. There are several other disabilities I wouldn't particularly mind, especially if I get something good for it. Preferably I'd lose my sense of hearing, though, since I have the perfect idea for fucking with people's minds made up. Only works if I'm deaf though. D:

Chop off my legs! 5 millions Euro's is like 6 and half million US dollars, for that money you can get some implants

eh, walking is overrated anyway.
Actually, wait, I would get 5 million Euros and never have to walk again.

I do not see a downside to this.
First of all:
£ = not a euro sign...

OT: I would rather have my health. I'm happy right now as it is, and I don't think money I need that much money, I wouldn't mind earning all of my wealth all by myself.

major diabetes has many other nasty factors that come into play... and I'm scared shitless of needles.... no way
I've had signs of Schizophrenia since I was little. Very minor stuff and I've had a good enough grasp on them to recognize that something wasn't "real" and ignore it. It's mildly irritating now, but I've had it get bad 1 time. That was enough. A lifetime of that shit wouldn't be worth the 100 mil.
Lose my legs above the knee.... eh that's at least reasonable. I can still have my otherwise phisical and mental health unchanged. It'd be a pain in the ass but at least you could make a reasonable attempt to enjoy the cash.

I think I could live with both legs amputated, although it would depend on where. If it was below/just above the knee then I might go for it (might) if it was the whole leg from the hip then no.

But really, I think I'd take my health instead of wealth. I plan to get quite wealthy enough under my own steam, don't need a deal with Satan to settle that. And I could totally outplay him on guitar anyway, so I'd win my soul/legs back easy enough.

I cant believe ppl are actually considering any of the first 4 options. Seriously :O what is wrong with you ppl ?!

You probably don't know anyone w/o legs, who can't walk, or some Schizophrenic. :S

I choose the legs amputated bit, my uncle is crippled and I don't recall him ever saying how great it is. But damn I'm greedy, and I am a person who's sorrows could be easily drowned in 5 million dollars.

The devil solicits you at night, guaranteeing a fortune*. On one condition: you have to undertake a considerable handicap. Which do you choose? Bear in mind that all of these will be permanent and affect you for the rest of your life. Rest assured, the devil will honour their end of the agreement.

Hmmm... unless you edit the poll so it actually IS a fortune I'd say the devil is scamming you. 5 mil? please. That's a nice chunk of cash but hardly a fortune. Now 100 mil, that was nice, but that's just for the option that will have you dead soon.
What's wrong with 5 million? You can buy yourself a very nice house or two, you won't ever have to work again, you could keep the last million in a good bank account and live off the interest alone. Though that's assuming it's used responsibly. For the average lower or middle class person it is definitely a fortune.

If I'm going to make a deal with the devil then I'm going to wish for superpowers or something. Money is obsolete when you rule the world.

what type of diabetes and how serious? some diabetes can be no problem at all you just need to watch your diet and take the occasional injection, it rarely impacts your life at all and ive got a £5million net profit to invest and live the rest of my life on (i could pay a financial adviser to invest it for me)
oh and to those people saying ill just get implants they are pretty horrible you will miss your legs trust me
this really wasnt a hard question at all
Whichever kind is harder to manage.

There is something of a link between the options. Option 2 can indirectly lead to option 3 if you get diabetic gangrene. Because the side effects of antipsychotics have a risk of causing diabetes, option 1 has a slight possibility of leading to option 2, which in turn has a slight possibility of leading to option 3.

Bye bye legs! With five million pounds, my legs could be better than my previous ones. No more sore shins, dead legs and leg injuries.
