(First of all I'm 3rd year High School student)

There's this boy at my school named Michael. This kid doesn't have any friends we know of but he's starting to tick me and my friends off. He's been following us around for the past couple days not saying things even when we ask him and the only time he does talk is to insult. We all feel bad for him but none of us can simply tell him to leave.

What should we do?

If he's being an insulting prick, tell him "You do nothing but put people down and don't contribute anything but negativity, so please leave us the fuck alone." That last little section may vary with the profanity, but the first part is a good start. There's a reason he doesn't have friends: Because he's an insulting prick. Don't feel bad for people who deserve their loneliness.

You're doing him no favors by (essentially) leading him on. If his behavior has caused him to have no friends, rewarding his behavior with some semblance of friends will do nothing to break him of it.

People only change when they've hit rock bottom. If he knows that literally no one likes him, he'll begin to reexamine his life. It may take a while, but he will (I believe) eventually learn that he drives people away, and that he should change himself.

Let's make sure I've got my facts straight here...

1. He isn't one of your friends.
2. Even though he isn't one of your friends, he still lingers near you and your friends. Sort of like loitering.
3. The only contribution he makes with his presence is to piss you off.

Communicate. Ask him what he wants. If he wants to hang out with you, tell him that he should stop being an insulting jerk. If he doesn't want to hang out with you, then ask him wtf he's up to.

Yes you do, that's pretty much the deffinition of friendship. Tell him to leave, before it's too late, I had the same problem, and now he won't leave.

I would try to involve him. He might be a nice guy but he's shy and to show this he insults you. Try and get him talking and to open up a bit. If he still insults you tell him to f**k off or have better insults to throw back at him.
