I think it depends on the guy doesn't it? I mean if your medium to light coverage it likely doesn't matter. Though if it looks like you're smuggling woodland creatures in there you might be able to stand some trimming.

I myself don't do that but I'm not that terribly hairy of a guy.

I'm pretty hairy in the chest, I found that while I personally don't care about chest hair, the ladies seem to, so I shave. It depends on your lady.

I have next to no chest hair (really any body hair) So I don't really have to worry about this. But recently I've been getting dark hair in between my eyebrows, so now I have to do unibrow prevention which is great... If I had a girlfriend ([sub]I'M SO LONELY![/sub]) and she told me to, I would have no problem with it.

I shave my underarms though, just because I'd rather not have the hair cloyed with sweat and... urgh.

As weird as it sounds, I like guys with smooth chests. Don't know why really, I guess it just looks better. But it probably depends on the body type as well.

I don't really have much except a few around my nipples and little hairs on my chest (IM SO MACHOOOOOO) but if I did have more I wouldn't be opposed to shaving it.

Shaving is great if you've got the pecs worth showing off. Trimming is a simpler alternative to shaving if the hair is too thick.

The biggest downside to shaving of course is stubble. I've yet to meet anyone that finds stubble attractive, anywhere.

If I could, I'd grow my chest hair to resemble the shape of a phoenix, or some other kind of bird with its wings spread out. Also, I like the feel of body hair.

I'm not a hairy person in the slighest, with the exception of my head and obvious other places.

I'm in the same boat; essentially hairless, except for my beard/mustache, arms, legs, armpits and pubic region. I keep the horrendously small amount of hair on my scalp shaved, trim the sideburns, and shave the underarm and pubic region.

Basically, I see no point in having a few particularly furry regions, when the bulk of my body is functionally hairless.
