And btw, this is the second thread about Halo you've done, the last one was posted 5 minutes before this one. Both titles were in all-caps.
That's generally not appreciated anywhere, especially not here.
Just a small FYI
The 10 minute movie was brilliant. When that fella picks up the spike grenade and knocks the banshee out of the sky in mid flight with it=EPIC COOL WOO YEAH.
As I understand it, the project that became District 9 started out as a Halo movie.
I think Microsoft is too greedy to let a Halo movie pass it by, but if it ever gets finished, it will most likely suck.
I'd like to see one, but if it comes out the masterchief shouldn't be in it, he doesn't show any expression so it would be difficult for a movie. I'd really like to see a movie with the marines in it though.
In fairness to Halo (Which i must admit i love the story and have read the books which are mostly very good giving the bad guy sides of the story) the live action clips are very good, the O.D.S.T. advert was another example of good production quality. Although the O.D.S.T. was dire it gave us another live action clip which adds to the hope of a GOOD film. Theres no reason there couldn't be a perfectly good film made, after all lord of the rings got around killing with the "they're not humans" clause in film clasification so why not halo? I think the first halo film will probably be wank because they'll try to tell too much in one film and it'll star someone like that guy whos in the fast and furious films (not vin diesel) as the main side kick (who in a halo film will get A LOT of face/dialog time.
...And made my favorite movie of 2009. Just sayin'.
OT: Halo was an average game with an average story, and so it would probably become a below average movie that grosses way more than it should because of the large fanbase. I do not want to see it happen, but it probably will.
