Oh god no. No video game based movie has ever been good so why would it work with halo?

Not true. The original Resident Evil movie was great. It was distinctly resident evil, without completely messing up the franchise. Now Apocolyps on the other hand...

The key to making a successful cross medium story is this. DON'T DO THE SAME EXACT STORY! If you going to make a successful movie based on a book or video game don't tell the exact story from the game or book. Make it a prequel or a sequel. As long as you do that it will be fine (assuming you actualy follow all of the rules for making a normal good movie).

Peter Jackson was supposed to make a Halo movie, but then he abandoned it and made District 9 (A VERY good move on his part).

My prediction for a Halo movie is based on that live-action ODST trailer.

Which was.... surprisingly amazing. I was expecting something cheesy but it was good. I could see a Halo movie being good if there was very little dialogue.

And you're complaining? But you are right, Peter Jackson and Neil Blomkamp were going to make a Halo movie. I'm glad they didn't, since D9 was over 9000 times better than anything they could've done with Halo.

O.T. If they acually hired good actors and made it acording to the BOOKS not the acual game then it would be cool.

If they started with the Master Chief (someone tell me if i spelled that right) in Spartan Training and then ended at halo 3 or maybe even at Halo 1 (because alot happend before that) then it might be good.
