Wait, people actually buy ergonomic mice? Isn't that kinda like a nice comfy chair for the desk where you stick your arm in a vice? I've never once in my life thought holding a mouse was uncomfortable, but half the reason I don't play PC games much anymore is that the angle I have to hold my arm at makes my shoulder seriously hurt after a couple hours. Is that just me then?
this is me too. the mouse isn't bad, any mouse isn't bad, i dont know why people complain, its at the super awkward position i have to try and put my arm at to be comfortable at all, otherwise it hurts after only 45 minutes-1 hour of gaming, so i have to position my monitor right so i can sprawl my arm weirdly over my whole desk so it has somewhere decently comfortable to lay on

I am a lefty, but am computer mouse (and in other activities) ambidextrous. If I were looking for a new mouse however I might buy that one. My current mouse I right only which is irritating.

Off topic: To all lefties, is your writing messier than your right handed friends?

I would have thought it was invented or made already. If not then bloody hell it took a while for them to come up with that one. Anyway I'm glad for left handed people now, even though I'n not left handed, but what I would find slightly amusing is if all of the left handed people who adjusted to right handed mice swaped for the left handed ones and really struggled with them. It's funny in my imagination anyway.

Ambidextry FTW

If you don't know it means you are both right handed and left handed

EDIT: What no pole option for us

Hmm..

I understand why a person whos left handed would want a left-handed mouse but..

What about the keyboard keys? Seems weird to put your right hand to cover the WASD and number keys and etc..

In 99% of PC games you can change the keys to almost anything.

Great news for the left-handed gamers out there, I've got a Deathadder (older model than this one with only 1500 DPI) and I think it's an awesome gaming mouse. There have been some excellent symmetric gaming mice on the market for a while though, so the lefthanded gamers have hardly been left entirely out in the cold up until now.

You win a poll option if you can spell it.

Where is the option for ambidextrous? I have always been able to use both hands, I used to game as a leftie but now play with my right hand.

I noticed a number of people saying they learnt how to use a mouse with their right hand when they're left handed.

This tip may be a bit late for you lot, but Control Panel > Mouse > Switch primary and secondary buttons.

Unless that didn't exist in whatever OS you were using. In which case ignore this.

Im left handed but i use the mouse in my right hand. Thats what i was told to do in school so thats how ive always done it. I can however, use a mouse in my left hand with almost as much dexterity so i could adjust to a lefty mouse really quick if i wanted to,not that there would be any point.

I use my left hand for pretty much everything else were possible though, and its actually kinda an advantage at the computer because whilst my secondary hand uses the mouse my dominant hand is free to take notes or erm,do whatever...

Mouse 1 and Mouse 2 were never really the main problem, Its the shape of the mouse that is the most annoying problem because it really restricts what mice you can use. Take the G9 which I know use for example, you can only hold it with your right hand comfortably, if you try to with your left hand it just feels totally wierd.

Keyboard is also an issue. I used to use the Arrow keys because they were closer to my right hand because I was obviously using my left hand for the mouse (mouse left side of keyboard)

Hope this helps you understand.

I was talking about those who use the perfectly symmetrical standard mouses. Like I'm using right now.

Ah I thought you ment mice in general, You are right then that is a good solution if we are discussing symmetrical mice. I was just pointing out general issues for left handed mouse users, The mouses shape being one of them.
