If ODST proved one thing it's that Bungie can still try to be original. I hope they can maintain that originallity even if you are playing a super-human in half-a-ton of armour in Reach. (again)

Bungie, I'm happy for you and Imma let you finish, BUT STOP MILKING HALO!
You know if the story was to take interesting direction I might be interested in seeing its sequels.

But the games are just getting less and less interesting, now there's no MC and as one-dimensional as the character was at least he was keeping it somewhat interesting.

As Yahtzee would say the series is just stagnating....=/

I was going to stop buying Halo games after 3 and I didn't buy ODST, but after seeing that issue of Game Informer and the debut trailer... My mind has been changed completely.

I honestly don't care what companies "milk" a game for all it's worth. The series, despite the milking, will gain new fans, and of course it might lose some, but there is always an audience for another sequel/prequel.

DERKA DERP'DE'DERP DERPA DERP. Halo.

Edit: Don't care, unless it does something new. Which is almost as likely as Mario going away.

Halo... The last couple of installments of halo have been pretty poor. I'll get it if its good, just like any other game that I am not really following.

I hate baised polls, I dislike halo wheres my option? "derp halo sucks derpa derp" thats not accurate, your obviously a halo fanboy trying to justify your love for a generic game by getting other people to tell you its good, when really no body gives a s***.
I could care less about the newest halo game, and I'm not spending my money on it.
as said before, there is a "yes", "no", and "neutral" option. I don't know how it can be any clearer than that. The "derp" option was put in because I was poking fun at people who judge halo, or any game, without playing it, and how yahtzee has made it "cool" to hate halo and other popular games.

Yeah this is looking pretty damn swell. I plan on pre-ordering it when I learn more.

I hear that Bungie is also working on another new IP. Honestly, I'm looking forward to that more than Halo: Reach mainly because as much as I love the Halo series I would like to see Bungie make something new, fresh and surprising.

The reintroduction of the health packs seems like a great idea to me. It worked really well in the first one because while your shield could regenerate if you screwed up in battle and lost physical health you ain't getting that back. ODST kinda implemented it but most of your health was stamina based and the health bar didn't have as much of an impact as I would've hoped for in the long run.

Anyways I'm wondering how much hype will get behind it as it gets into spring/summer. Will it be hyped as much as Halo 3 was? It's Halo so it's gonna get hyped, but I wonder if it won't be as much as Halo 3 was since it's not a direct continuation of the line of Halo games Bungie has made up til now.

I can't agree more. I remember playing Marathon when I first heard about Halo, and it certainly piqued my interests. Though I do hope that it has nothing to do with space marines...they've nailed that one down well enough, but I'm curious to see what their new IP will be about.

Well atleast if it's not like ODST, now THAT was copy/paste with some weapons taken away. Oh and we added medpacks! Am I the only one that liked killing the flood in Halo 3? When they actually can be killed by melee.

I believe Bungie said they were planning to move into XBL Arcade games.

OT: I'm really looking forwards to this game, especially seeing the story of these new Spartans.

Halo is a good series i believe for 5 things that come to mind.

story (read the books and play the games, it makes much more sense)

gameplay (its simple, and effective. what more do you need?)

choice of weapons (being able to dual wield, sniping being simple, and the fact you can hold energy swords and giant hammers appeals to anyone)

and the vehicles (the vehicles in the halo games for me and probably many more people are simple and fun to control, they handle perfectly and are good in different situations, meaning one vehicle can do a variety of jobs instead of being the anti-infantry/anti-vehicle vehicle.

characters (seriously, the chief isn't the best, but he looks bad ass, and he is well recognised around the globe, also the other characters are things we can bond with, at least they feel real, instead of being stiff planks of wood)

remember graphics aren't everything here people

and the reason Bungie are continuing is because it has a huge fanbase that want more, this is Bungie's last Halo game, then it goes to 343 studio's to carry it on, halo is going to be around for many many years.

i personally cant wait for this game =D

Remember when Bungie was in production on Halo and Oni at the same time? And then Halo took off while Oni was largely forgotten. I loved Oni, and would love to see Bungie flexing their non-Halo based muscles again. Pathways into Darkness, the Marathons - we know you can do the fighting-weird-monster FPS, Bungie. Now get back to being the innovative studio you used to be!

I actually liked playing as the Arbiter.

He was a much more interesting character than Master Chief.

I got it too, and I psyched. As a person who bought Halo 3 and Halo ODST and found them lacking, i hope that the more realistic feel of Halo: Reach will finally make it work for me. A

Also, did anyone else not like the sound that the Halo shotgun makes. It sounds too weak to me so I never use it because I judge it by the sound instinctively.

I know what you mean. the gun sounds could use a bit of work. I've no idea if they changed them in Reach, but with them revamping everything else I should hope that would include the gun sounds.
