Cow's fart a lot and keep braking down the ozone layer with the methane in their backside gas.
Get rid of the cows. Filthy buggers.

The wording confuses me.
magicmonkeybars said:
*edit To be clear,
option one means baby and cows live.
option two means baby and cows die.
so option one is everyone lives, and option two is everyone dies?

25-year-old stable couple having to endure a child, and save cows.
25-year-old stable couple having an abortion, killing cows.

Anyway, I save the cows. Cows are kind of badass, and made of meat. And meat, along with beer, fuels mankind.

Allow the abortion to happen; it's a bunch of cells still
Excuse me? You do know that a baby's heart starts beating at 5 weeks? Bunch of cells my ass.
Is there any evidence of consciousness? No. Can it survive out of the womb at that "age"? No.

The fact that it's heart starts beating is irrelevant; you may as well say that it's arm's started growing a few weeks previously. Your reason for choosing the heart is curious; I'm even willing to bet it's down to your romanticized view of what the heart actually is. It's just a muscle that beats involuntarily as a reflex.

That's it.

At 5 weeks, it is just a ball of cells that are starting to gain some functionality. A functionality that is not yet supporting anything that is alive.

It's not legal to kill a 5 week old fetus.
Where do you live?

Do they want to abort the baby? Anyway, these questions really should have some grounds in reality. When will I be faced with this choice, what do they even have in common? Whatever, I saved all the cows. I'm fine with abortion, but these cows could maybe feed thousands of people in third world countries... Plus, do you know what killing one million cows would do to the economy?

Sure it is! Well not the buddhists and so on but all who believes in a God, just think about it, the rest could live in harmony!

Depends whether the mother wanted an abortion because she didn't want the baby. If so, then I'd allow that and therefore stop the slaughter of the cows. If not, then I'd save the baby and kill the cows.

It seems incredibly un-just to kill the cows when you look at it from their point of view.

Our all-powerful overlords who control every aspect of our lives have decided to sacrifice a million of us, including our families, just so that there can be one more of them.

It's like sacrificing a million serfs for one new member of the royalty. Just silly. Especially when the serfs don't really know what's going on. Let's replace the cows with dogs and see if people say the same thing.

Cows have feelings too.

That lady can just go crazy and kill the baby anyway, so it's better to go ahead and save the cows.

The mother of the foetus has to choose if it will live or die. Grinding a million cows to waste is that: a waste. If a foetus is used for research and allowed to be so. Than it's all good.

In the words of the great Bill Hicks: "It's not a person until it's in my fucking phone book.".

Don't kill cows to save some flesh tomato in someone's uterus.

If you're going to ***** that the fetus could have grown up to be some kind of modern Jesus,
just shut the fuck up. Do you know how many people get born everyday? For example, if Einstein would've
never been born, someone else would've come up with the theory of relativity, someone like Feynman.

If abortion is wrong, jacking off is wrong.

It's the woman's choice, not mine. So one million cows.
Well that is right but then you would be taking 1 000 000 lives rather than just 1 also what do you care it's not like it's your kid anyway and why just kill the cows I'd say cows only if they use the meat for food think of how many lives you could be saving if they gave it to the poor and hungry.

Once again, I am going to post even knowing that my opinions are weapons-grade Flame Bait. I wish the Escapist would stop making me do that, but it's happening and that's that. So, here we go...

It is my opinion that abortion should only be allowed in the events that:

A) The pregnancy has an extremely high chance of killing the mother. Like, 98% minimum.

or

B) The child has been screened for birth defects and such, and it's found that the child is, once again, extremely likely to be born with a condition that would make its life a living hell or just outright kill it.

It's my belief that life does, in fact, begin at conception, and while some women may argue "It's my body and I have the right to control it", the fact of the matter is: NO, IT IS NOT SOLELY YOUR BODY ANYMORE. IT IS ALSO A HUMAN CHILD'S BODY.

So, in summary: I'd prevent the abortion.

Let the cows be used normally and just kill the baby as soon as it's born.

I think we call that a "Win-win" scenario.

Sort of confusing but chances are the millions of cows will help more people than the one child. Save the cows.

This is not a dilemma. Not even by a long shot. This is an arbitrary choice given by no context whatsoever. Think of a better one next time, please.
