Or made you jump or whatever. Because let's face it, no matter how awesome you think you are there must have been something on a game or a film that has scared you in some way or another. It may have been a moment, or even the concept in general.

Game wise, Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube made me feel so uneasy playing it. I mean there were so many moments that I actually wanted to put the game down. It messed with your head so much, doors knocking but no one being there, bleeding walls, hallucination etc.

As for a film, I am ashamed to put Resi Evil (the first one). I think it was coz there was no happy ending. Or maybe it was because the concept of zombies wasn't so over used back then. But either way, ah well.

So how about you?

The only game to actually genuinely scare me was The Path. It was seriously frightening on a level no other game or movie has ever managed to reach.

There have been a few movies that have actually scared me, can't remember which ones though.
I'm rubbish at remembering stuff.

I don't count "Whoa that monster jumped out of the closet" movies as being actually scared, just surprised frankly. I think of stuff that really disturbed me down to a primal level, and John Carpenter's the Thing really did it. And the scariest part about it was a probability, if the organism made contact with the rest of the world, there was something like an 88% chance it would assimilate the world's population within a few days.

The Hitchcock movies freaked me out after watching Birds I walked around the bird filled tree in my street instead of under it for a week.
As for games Silent Hill and Condemned were pretty spooky but that's about it.

Vampire: The Masquerade has a house that was build to mimic haunted houses. I hate haunted houses. I always no clip through the house to the objective when I'm at that part.

DOOM 3 scared the bejesus out of me.
Well I played DOOM 1 while I was only 2 years old. Seriously. And for the movie: Animatrix. When I watched I was 8 or 9 I think.
