Every horror film makes me jump, even I Am Legend did it at points. But thats just what horror films are supposed to do so... Yeah!

The Chozo Mythos series is terrifying...
I find it more unsettling if anything.

Umm, I feel ashamed to say Condemned. Playing at night, alone with no lights. The scene with the childrens laughter sped up as you walk down that school hall, just passed the bloodied lockers. God damn!

i was pretty scared the first time i played L4D, but after a while it wasnt scary anymore, because the zombies died so easily.

Movie? probably a few scenes in Scary Movie 3 and Saw.

The Cake Is A Lie said:
Arachnophobia freaked the shit out of me when I was a kid. Think for a few months after seeing it I was checking showers, and inside my shoes for spiders.

Silent Hill 1, and Fatal Frame II had me jump a few times.
That movie got me too, I always checked my shower nozzle for 8 legs, and never took my eyes off of it for about 2 days.

The Path.
Condemned: Criminal Origins (so scary I haven't finished it yet).
And Left 4 Dead when I first met the witch.

EDIT: BTW, this was my 1337th post :D

In the movie Return to Oz, when Dorothy tries to sneak the Powder Of Life from the closet with Mombie's original head, when Mombie's head wakes up and screams Dorothy Gail! That scared the bejeezus out of me.

oblivion while i was very concentrated on stealing everything in the skingrad wine cellar the count suddenly de-cloacked and started pursuing me...and he ran through walls (or he knew a quick route)

me and my friend were screaming for 5 minutes during the get away but it was more funnny than scary really

As for movies making me jump there are lots. Genuinely scaring me there the ones that take usually harmless things like Children and portray them in and evil or distorted way. The Exorcist, Grudge...

As for games it would have to be Silent Hill. Haven't had the luck of playing Eternal Darkness yet...

Oh and my P-O-S PC can't run The Path -_-

The Fatal Frame series is the only videogame series that truly frightens me. Oh dear god the ghosts D:

As for movies, Final Destination scares me purely on the concept that terrifies me alone. Nothing else really frightens me movie-wise nowadays.

Cloverfield, Doom 3, Silent Hill 2, and Eternal Darkness are the only ones to scare me to an extent that I pissed myself.

I'm not really much for playing or watching truly scary things.
Silent Hill 2 was quite unsettling, but it didn't manage to keep me up at night or anything like that.
For movies I'd say The Machinist and moments in some of David Lynch's movies that are just so disturbing, although not in the traditional sense.
