who knew the anti-material rifle needed at least 6 strength with the perk? or that no matter how much you want to, you cant kill the Legendary Deathclaw.
Or a sneak attack headshot with the unique sniper rifle / SomethingAwful Gauss Rifle :(
You can kill the legendary deathclaw in 2 shots (conservatively).

Base damage with hand load rounds, 100 guns skill and a dose of psycho is right around 200. Bloody mess raises that to right around 210. A critical hit with better criticals does another ~210 damage. Put that round through his head and you get the x2 headshot damage multiplier for a around 840 damage. He only has 850 HP.

If that isn't good enough, the unique guass rifle does around 270 damage in one shot with an overcharged MC mag and a dose of psycho. If you do all of the above, you easily deliver enough damage to kill the thing in one shot assuming you get a critical hit.

Of course, if you have less than 300 HP, you had better kill it quickly as it tends to deliver enough damage per swipe to instantly kill you otherwise.

And, if that seems unreasonable, simply lay a few mines to your front and put rounds through his head. A bottlecap mine or two at pathetic skill is more than sufficient to bring it down after you take a reasonable chunk out of the thing with your chosen weapon.

Yeah exactly, I killed him with 1 sniper round and a couple hunting shotgun shots from medium range from Cass (I didn't use phycho).

I do admit he is kind of impossible on a melee build tho, My first playthrough I went melee/unnarmed with the unique super sledge and Veronica with Displacer Glove I never managed to kill him.

Ah yes, and people sleeping next to their beds.

Yesterday I had quite a freaky bug as well, after beating up that Legion prisoner. My arms and especially hands looked like they were completely mangled, all fingers broken and out of place.

I also remember an almost gamebreaking bug in the tutorial. At one point that girl's dog stopped moving, and she walked into him just marching on the spot neither of them actually moving. I had to push the dog aside for the tutorial to continue.
I've also had a couple of glitches where 5 or 6 Legionairs were occupying the same space.

Weird, but a nice dynamite target.

And to top it off, yesterday RNV played Big Iron twice in a row. If I hear that song one more time, I'm going to go Mysterious Stranger on someone.
With a big iron on your hip?
Try changing radio stations until you get fed up of that one.

OT: I've had a couple of crashes, Boone disappeared, twice when I've levelled up, it's given me another level, with all the bells and whistles for no reason, meaning I'm facing enemies better than the weapons I've had time to get, and the Van Graafs attacked me for walking through the door, but nothing seriously game breaking, just major annoyances.
With a Big Iron in my hand.
I did try switching radio stations frequently but that doesn't work for very long because they all play the same 5 songs over and over again. I can't get away from Big Iron on one and can't get away from Johnny Retard on the other. I dig the songs too but I've already put many hours into the game and need some variety.

Yesterday it froze up on me before I even started. I just turned it on, loaded up the save file, it froze on the load, and I had to shut it down.

I'm loving the game (just went through all of Vault 11 yesterday and finally got that Twilight Zone feeling I got all through Fallout 3) but I'm finding it very hard to recommend.

No problems, other then Johnny Guitar.

Edit: PS3 version.
Ugh, the radio station's selection of songs is HORRIFIC. it's fine at first but after you've heard a song repeeated 15 times it just makes you scream with frustration, shouting "HOW DO PEOPLE LIVE WITH THIIIIS?!"

This game's got glitches by the number,
bugs by the score,
each day I try to get somewhere
and each day it crashes more
This game's got gliches by the number,
It's a game I can't win,
'cause the quests I do stop counting
and the game picks when to end.

Of course they just came out with a patch for the PC that fixes all the problems the modders already took care of.
wtf?

PC version here.

I've had one hard freeze and when I swap to my pip boy while a radio station is playing, the sounds goes to crap for a second. Otherwise, I haven't seen many of the bugs presented. I've done about 25 hours in game so far.

I'm waiting to buy it until I hear that all the problems are fixed (because I don't want to do it myself...). Plus then the price will come down!
