As an American that's been to most of the big places, I would say either Hawaii for scuba diving, or Alaska for hiking/camping/hunting. Seattle or San Fransisco would also be cool.
Don't forget to pretend like no one else exists. Avoid making eye contact and never smile at or initiate small talk with a stranger.Stasisesque said:New York, New York!
I've been to a number of places in the USA, but never New York City. I live in London, so I suppose the draw for me are the similarities. I'd do Broadway, Off-Broadway, the food, ride the subway, visit Central Park, walk around in my huge-ass sunglasses and my very proper accent and pretend to be famous.
Did you miss the bit about me living in London?Dags90 said:Don't forget to pretend like no one else exists. Avoid making eye contact and never smile at or initiate small talk with a stranger.Stasisesque said:New York, New York!

Believe it or not, muggings are not a phenomenon unique to New York. Additionally, it is entirely possible to go on a vacation there and not get mugged, as I recently did.MASTACHIEFPWN said:My friend got mugged in New York... Might want to reconcider.Daystar Clarion said:That depends.

I've never been to London, sadly. However the NY area is seen as being peculiar for its "rudeness". Personally, strangers taking any sort of interest in my business creeps me the fuck out.Stasisesque said:Did you miss the bit about me living in London? The most contact I've ever had with a stranger is elbowing them in the ribs whilst diving for a cab.

That's not exactly a large enough pool of people to be considered helpful.MASTACHIEFPWN said:My friend got mugged in New York... Might want to reconsider.Daystar Clarion said:That depends.

Yeah, London pretty much has the unspoken rule trinity of No Talking, No Eye Contact and No Need to Apologise. You can tell a tourist by how much they disregard those rules. And the backpacks, always the backpacks...Dags90 said:I've never been to London, sadly. However the NY area is seen as being peculiar for its "rudeness". I think the easiest solution would just be to come here to New York for New York Comic-Con.aba1 said:I would want to go to the Comic-con so the means San-Fransisco for me. I am a Ontarian so New York would be the easiest for me however.
