NYC, ok I have been before but i just love that place, its so alive, so interconected, almost like a living being in its own right. If there was ever an exaple of something being more than the sum its its parts then New York City is it.

None of those cities interest me, except San Fran which I've been to. However I'd like to see Philly, New Orleans and Indianapolis as well as just drive around the centre randomly visiting places.

I'm surprised you didn't include Chicago. Though, as someone who's lived there, I can't imagine traveling internationally just for the sake of seeing it. I suppose the same could be said for any city one has inhabited for an extended period of time.

New York City, very closely followed by Yellowstone. No Grand Canyon on that list though, oversight or not enough options? The Grand Canyon would be my third choice, the wilds of inner Detroit would be very interesting to see too.

I'm from Australia if that makes any difference.

No Detroit on the list? Urban decay at its finest?

Failing that, I had to go for San Francisco. Gotta go see for myself the city that inspired that most inspiring of inspirational arthouse films: The Room.

Well, I can't pick any of the above. I would go to Washington DC, so the closes is New York I think. If I am going to go to USA it will be to visit my uncle who lives there, though he does have an apartment in New York too.

Well, I've visited NY, DC, Baltimore, Orlando and Miami, but still haven't been to the one I'd most like to - Boston.

Eight is the maximum number of poll options. I decided not to add an "other" category because they tend to suck up votes like a Dyson.

In my experiences there, Yellowstone seems to be reasonably popular with Australians. The Grand Canyon is pretty cool and stuff, too.

Los Angeles, mostly because I have a friend I play on Xbox live who lives over there, he's in producing for a studio, so there's all kinds of cool stuff he could show me.

i'd only visit the outskirts or small towns. things get nasty further inside of america.
For the most part, the small towns are on the inside, the big cities are on the outside. That's why they're big; centers of trade and all that.

Besides, it's the small, interior towns that tend to be home to many of the crazy We Don't Like Your Kind Round Here types. Not that you're likely to meet any of those anyway. The biggest dangers of coming to America, as far as I'm aware, are getting sued for some trivial thing, going to a hospital for a minor injury and ending up in debt for the rest of your life, or having the wrong name or too brown of a face and getting disappeared by the CIA.

I'd either go to the Hawaiian Islands or to Yellowstone. As for the others in the poll option, why would I go to those places? What's there?

I've done Hawaii, which was at best lackluster (as I'm Australian I suppose it was always going to be a waste of time to travel overseas for a beach type holiday), as well as california (also not very exciting imo) and Colorado.

Based on my experience, I'd probably have little interest in any of the poll options with the possible exception of yellowstone. I'd definitely be keen to go back to Colorado, the snow was incredible! There are, of course, other states with good skiing (outdoor ice rinks are also welcome) so if I was to go, it would be on of those places.

NYC - Various buildings, Broadway, Giant Christmas Tree.
LA - Hollywood, Disneyland, surfing/beaches.
Las Vegas - Gambling, strippers, etc.
Miami - Beaches, nightlife.
Orlando - Disney World, Universal Orlando.
San Francisco - Fisherman's Warf, wine, gay buttsex.

As an American who's only been to two of those places (Yellowstone and Vegas, if you're keeping track at home. Also, stop keeping track at home. It's weird.) I'd have to say Hawaii. I live in the middle of the dessert, so it would be a nice change of pace.

That depends.

Which State is closest to Canada? :D

[sub]New York, I suppose. Seems like the 'safest' choice.[/sub]
No, God no! Washington state will give you the same experience except you won't get a huge whiff of human poop every 2 blocks you walk and people will actually stop to give you the time of day. And no matter where you are, you're always a 2 hour drive plus or minus a ferry ride. Also you're less like to get mugged. Like, by a lot.

Un-Americans, lol...

Well I'd love to go to Hawaii, although there is one person I don't want to run into and considering it's such a tiny island, I probably would.
Although if I went, I'd go somewhere different just in case I did run into her and just had to rip her face off.

Where in Florida is Disneyland? Cause I wanna go there.
Also I'd like to visit New York. I doubt I'd ever be rich or lucky enough to visit America and travel though ;(
