Yes there is proven Historical evidence to point to Jesus existing including Roman and Jewish sources of someone being executed called Jesus.

It was a joke and if anyone starts one I am not going to continue it. I mean if someone really starts a religious debate over that they are just looking for things to flame. All I said was that he existed I never said that his deeds were proved. Why does my stating his existance equal to me having proof of his deeds?

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm, as there are a lot of "Jesus myth" theorists around here, but I believe he was a real person (while I don't believe the mythology of miracles and virgin birth and such).
