I try to be accurate. I hardly ever shoot without fine aiming if I can. But sometimes, spray and pray is just plain mindless fun.

Considering I'm ranked in the top 25,000 out of 5 million for accuracy on Modern Warfare 2, I'd say I'm quite proud of my accuracy. Being accurate gets me more kills, and pisses of snipers. It's hilarious to kill a sniper from the other side of the map with an AK-47 without missing a shot.

Buy Vladof rifles!

Playing Borderlands, I've started sniping as it was really easy...until my rifls started missing constantly, even with really high accuracies, although think it's to do with the power of the rifles.

I will always take well aimed shots, but I will not hesitate to fire full auto from the hip if it'll get the job done.

When you're a giant minigun-wielding soviet accuracy is the last thing that comes to mind. Besides, even minimal ping (<50) can kill your aim as a sniper.

I'm confused by the poll choice of "I use an Uzi (two if possible) what do you think?"

It confuses me because the Uzi has been the most accurate submachine gun for decades and is preferred by multiple foreign special forces around the world because of its accuracy. Yet it seems like you imply that choosing an uzi means you dont care about accuracy; that you just want to spray bullets.

Anyway, for me,it depends on my mood. Shot placement is always very important, but generally I prefer a weapon with a three round burst decent stopping power.
Accurate when fired with control. However, super high fire rate means ONE FOR EACH HAND HOLD DOWN THE TRIGGERS RATATATATATATATATATATATATATA

What is this "accuracy" you speak of? Me use shotgun. Like see faces splatter.

But yeah, accuracy isn't too important when you're two feet away from the guy, is it?

I call it suppressing fire.
you don't pop out of cover when it's being shot, do you?
that tactic alone makes people whom don't suppress for my advance annoying

In just two posts, this is basically every single FPS player... ever.

Except maybe for "You don't need more bullets or accuracy, you just sit in one corner and blast any unsuspecting victim that walks by"

Accuracy is everything... even back when I played Return to Castle Wolfenstein I either played with the rifle or short bursts with the mp40. I'd rather take down my opponent with minimal ammo loss then run out in the middle of a fight (Especially important in L4D). Although I do tend to play melee occasionally (TF2 for instance), knives don't jam and never run out of bullets.

Of course there are occasions where you need a bit of spray:
- Suppressing fire for instance is one of them.... and well..... that's about it really...

im more of accuracy but once i get a machine gun and alot enemys are swarming i dont focus to much on it. if alot of enemies are around i know it mostly doesnt matter if i aim when i can just randomly fire and i get them even when im not focusing.

I tend to use both strategies as both have their place in the scheme of things. Precise fire will generate kills but "spray and pray" cover fire will allow one's mates to get into position for precise fire.

It massively depends on the game, are you Sniping, laying down cover fire or just running and gunning?

Accuracy is important but results more so, at least in Left 4 Dead.

I prefer accuracy but I use automatics in case I do need to just spray. Short, controlled bursts is where it's at.
