If you own the whole Saga like I do (BG1 + Exp and BG2 + Exp), then may I recommend getting the BGComplete MOD?SakSak said:Ah, another faithful believer!Baby Tea said:I am consistently always in the middle of yet another playthrough of my favourite saga: Baldur's Gate.

Come, let us go rescue Dynaheir from the clutches of the evil gnolls and give evil the boot-kicking it deserves. Minsc and Boo to Victory!

It takes both games and expansions and combines them into one massive game in the BG2 enginge, with BG2 spells and Character classes and kits. Want to be a shapeshifter druid running around Candlekeep? Here's the chance! It makes the whole experience seamless, and it's a must have for fans of the series (Especially when combined with the Widescreen MOD to get super high resolutions!).
I freaking love this game.
Oh, believe me. Older games have their faults too. It's the haze of nostalgia that lets us remember the triumphs and forget the horrors. Do you know how many really old games I played that flat out did not work? You'd get to a certain level and the game would freeze or reload or just die. There's a reason ET is remembered as one of the worst games ever made. Standards were lax back then, companies could get away with developing games (especially movie tie-ins) in about a week. No beta testing, no making sure the game worked. Things like that happen occasionally today (I think many of us remember the Bully fiasco), but the internet and the gaming community won't allow a severe fault to go unfixed. And in the Bully example, Rockstar had a patch out quickly. ET was never fixed.Akai Shizuku said:It's not just about nostalgia for me, I think old games were largely better. They were simpler, there wasn't so many variables involved with making a good game and they were harder to screw up.
