Well seeing as how any race of creatures capable of crossing the vast distances required to reach Earth would need technology centuries ahead of our own (Unless they were some kind of Tyranid style space bugs) I'd join the aliens without a second thought and hope that their females are hot.

I would refuse. Assuming the alien was true to its word, integrating into alien society would not be something I'd be willing to do. Plus I'd love to see an enemy which we could actually use nuclear weapons against.

Feel free to correct me, but why is using nuclear weapons on our home planet a good idea? That way, the aliens can win just by provoking us into nuking our own planet and mopping up.

In any case, any alien with the technology to actually get here could crush us effortlessly anyway, so the answer to the OP is "HELL YES".

Whatever we used to reach their planet would be a damn sight more effective than a 50 megaton bomb.

well nukes is sooo last year now days you use hydrogen nukes much more effective and cleaner, if you go for pure H-bombs you get (more or less) a big hole and some water (A lot less radiation) I could live with that (might got that wrong)
And honestly if nukes were going to get the aliens away (they really have to tell me before they invade and for what reason) nuke away for all I care...
(if it's just politicians and lawyers I would probably rather help the aliens)

I would ask for more information. Of key importance:

1)Why are they invading? Some reasons will make me more sympathetic to their cause than others.

2)Is a compromise possible? Is there some way we can end the fighting without one side destroying the other?

3)Is "we won't kill you now" the best they can offer? If I join the humans, I'll presumably retain my rights and privileges should we win. Not dying right now isn't a very good deal if it doesn't leave me with those, especially if there's a chance I'll be killed by team human during the fighting.
