Call me boring, I play humans in any game I play. I hate Orc/ks in any game on the grounds that they're vicious, blood thirsty jerks. In WoW they play the "misunderstood" card. Look, if your favorite activity is killing living things that don't deserve it, you aren't misunderstood, you're a psychopath, and you need to stop it.

But orcs are like aliens!! That has to count for something!

So I went back to the Horde, and it was the same damn shit! Just replace Stormwind with Silvermoon. I hadn't played Horde very long after BC came out, so I didn't get to see the point at which Silvermoon City became the ONLY place to hang out. I also never saw the player transition from decent character development to "stereotypical douchebag Blood Elf". What used to be a group of *relatively* (emphasis) mature people who were genuinely interested in nerding it up devolved into the same mostly juvenile nymphomaniacs which infested Alliance cities. I'm going to sound elitist when I say this, but I think the Blood Elves were the worst thing that happened to the Horde.

Agreed. I've said numerous times "WTB Troll Pally" or "WTB Undead Pally" because (like I said earlier) if Blizz made this happen, I would drop my BElf and every last thing i've managed to achieve with him.

Incidentally, Paladins are one of those classes I don't understand a race restriction to. Technically a Paladin is anyone who is a warrior for whatever god or religion they believe in. And before anyone says "Well Undead/Forsaken would disintegrate the second they tried casting Exorcism" hasn't thought through the fact that the Forsaken can be Holy-spec Priests.

Also, before anyone says "Paladins! Boo! Hiss!" I've also got a Druid, Warrior, and have tried out 'Locks, Mages, Rogues, and DKs (but don't get me started on my love/hate with them).

I'm going to sound elitist when I say this, but I think the Blood Elves were the worst thing that happened to the Horde.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. Blood elves have little to do with the shift in maturity you see on RP servers.

I love the blood elf RP, they are easily my favorite race.

Also, on my server the a-holes are spread out evenly among the different races. Then again, I play on PVP servers so...eh

Horde has the better best race in the game (Tauren) at the expense of playing with a bunch of elitist pricks.

Alliance has the better scenery and instances (I love Deadmines and Gnomeregan) at the expense of playing with a bunch of whiny twelve year olds.*

*One must note that after BC, we saw a massive shift in the population of WoW. Whereas the Alliance used to be full of the younger players, the introduction of the Blood Elves for some reason brought them to the Horde. The older players tried to escape to the Alliance to no avail, so now things are pretty even.

I still see more whiny pricks on Alliance though.

I play alliance (actualy quiting this month when time comes up, actually finally bored of it) but ive played ally, the douchebaggery ratio between factions is really even, but you only see it when you're playing the side you're playing, and yes horde get to punt gnomes, but consider this... Wont the alliance be punting goblins as soon as the next xpac hits?
