My grandma is faster than IE. That's the only and enough reason. Seriously, there's this thing called GPU with tens or hundreds of graphics cores yet it still hogs the CPU at it. Chrome is smarter in this respect.moretimethansense said:Neither I use Internet Explorer and it works fine for me.
I have no idea why it gets so much bad press.
Well, for starters, Firefox's flash playback is often glitchy, out of synch, etc, even running in Linux. That's a benefit of IE over Firefox right there.Douk said:[...]And I can't even think of any benefits of IE over FF/Chrome.
This was one of my issues with Chrome. A colleague of mine had to bring up his browser during a presentation, and all seated got a, shall we say, explicit look at his browsing history from the front page list. Could have been embarrassing for him if anyone had been tactless enough to point it out.Generic Gamer said:If you're going to be browsing a lot of questionable sites use Firefox. Chrome is more lightweight and should probably be your default browser. If you want it I would recommend Chromium instead, it's the same browser but with no usage tracking or auto-updating. It's a fair trade off if you ask me.
except chrome has it already built in.Generic Gamer said:If you're going to be browsing a lot of questionable sites use Firefox. Firefox has a good selection of add ons that block active scripts.
