I don't care about birthdays. the people around me do, and that's what makes it special. It's not a right or something.

No, she should not expect people to remember her birthday unless she reminded them and organised something with them. Otherwise it's a bit attention-whoreish. Who remembers everyone's birthday anyway?

Why is there moon pie.

Anyway, back on topic.

Not really for your close friends. Unless they have truly horrible memories they should remember.

But for those who she is not close with, its not their fault if they diddn't know.

what else are you suposed to spend 25p on? Penny wishles nah moon pie sounds like the way to go.

Well, depends how close you are to them. I was a close friend to this friend who was talking to me the day before my birthday, I told him the next day was my birthday, and vented a lot to me. I didn't mind him venting but thought to myself "if he doesn't remember it's my birthday I'm going to yell at him" because I would have been annoyed I talked to him about his problems so much and he couldn't even wish me a happy birthday. But he did so it's all good. That's the only time I've held it against someone, or been close to. I usually remind people when/if they ask me how I am, I say "I'm happy because it's nearly my birthday!". I do get birthday wishes from friends though but I wouldn't hold it against them.
Yeah its fair enough that like.

Don't worry, you're not a dick. And people won't forget. by people, I mean at least your mother will remember.

Unless you're me, then everyone forgets.

Well, at least when everyone keeps forgetting your birthday every time, you can still pretend to be 21 when you're 30.

Oh, no, wait, that's what the internet is for...

I have a female friend who we shall name S for the purpose of the topic on hand.

The question she came into my room about 2 minutes ago and said with a serious face

"I bet everyone will forget my 21st birthday" (next week 11th of may day before mine :/)
my response was merly "ok and i havent forgotten" her response after was
"Is it a dick head move to not remind anyone that its my birthday and hold it against them"
"my mere response was i dunno i guess it could be how about you ask a wider audiance outside of your usual friends"
"Can you do it for me"

So thats about it
Holy crap - You share the same birthday as me!

That is rather dickish and self centered, I think. If you care that much about the occasion, you need to communicate its importance to people. If you don't tell them about it and they don't know, you can't hold it against them. That would fall squarely underneath the "bitchy" column. You tell her your fat internet friend said that, with a serious business face. Please. Scratch that, that's a horrible idea. Instead, hold it against her when she neglects your own birthday. That'll learn her!

I dunno, I personally think the 80's where slightly more legendary :) (with 1987 being the top year - off course!). Who me? Born in the 80's? How could you have guessed?

I have questions for you mate

1. Is she hot?

2. Is she single?

3. Do you live in England, near Birmingham?

4. Does she like nerd/chav hybrids?

If yes to all four, I would sincerly like to meet this young women :D.

And to get back OT, I'd be pretty a whiney ***** if my friends never mentioned nothing of what we're doin on my bday i.e. how wrecked we gonna get & at who's house etc.

Ok not sure how to put this. If it means that much to her she can do it. It's not your job to remind others of her birthday. Hell no one should be reminded it's someones birthday. It's ok to be excited about it but don't say it's someones job to remind other of it. She's just a..... god how to be nice about this.. a witch. If people forget they forget. It's a dick headed move to expect others to be reminded.
