But im called james but everyone called me jay for short so i guess it stuck and the J was a case of maybe i want to be like L from death note but if he can be L then i can be J but nothing accepts just J so i called myself a legend (its yet to be written but keep watchin youtube around my birthday next week and hopefully somethink might appear).

Maybe holding it against people is a dickhead move, but you sorta deserve it by not telling people.

I dont know any of my friends birthdays. Hell, i need to really think ot just remember my parents and bothers!

This. It took me about 20 years to remember my brothers birthdays. I cant remember my dad or grandparents, and it an epic battle each year to remember my girlfriends (4 years relationship and going strong). I dont really celebrate mine...and I couldnt care less about presents. If people send me an sms or even call, its nice...but if they dont...I care very little.

If she thinks its important for people to remember her birthday, not reminding them is NOT gonna help. Both remind them, and more importantly she should explain to her closest ones that this is something that means a lot to her. Its a bit easier to remember for them if they know she cares a lot. But they probably do...

Good grief I just saw what a disaster area my post was grammatically. A friend of mine sometimes say the only trouble he has is that his mind goes faster than his mouth so when he talks sometimes it will be gibberish because his tongue hasnt caught up yet...I might have that with my fingers :<

Well, my birthday is Dec 23, everyone remembered Christmas but forgot mine, the first time it happened I was 5, so yeah I made a scene then. But on my 18th I just decided not to give them their Christmas gifts until they apologized.

Personally I would have just reminded her there and then by saying something along the lines of "... You do realise it's my birthday the day after, right?" mainly because that's the only chance you're going to get for her to be realise the situation and be sympathetic without it either making too much of an impact on the friendship or not making enough of an impact on the situation. Not to mention that it would have all been sorted out sooner.

But I'm losing the point, um, yeah, she's a little bit of a jerk. But it's ok for friends to be jerks sometimes. The best thing I can think of to do is just promote your own birthday and not hers?
