Both coming out later this year, around Fall I am guessing. I just checked Grim Dawn is going to be $20 but Path of Exile is still free. The devs said that there will be cash shop for Exile that will only affect appearance and nothing else at all.Phoenix_XIII said:When do they come out?cgmetallica1981 said:I thought this thread was gonna be about the WoW-like graphics. Yeah Diablo II is my favorite game but I will just play Grim Dawn and Path of Exile for FREE when they come out. So should you.
I know I know. I forgot one. That was my mistake.Altorin said:Demon HunterPhoenix_XIII said:They have less classes than in Diablo II

can you link me to the D3 review from Yahtzee. I don't see any review from him about it. Unless you mistook the Torchlight episode as a D3 review. I don't see how he can review a game that isn't out yet. So I think you may have been mistaken. If im wrong, please link the review.Phoenix_XIII said:Speaking of which, do you recommend that game? I watched Yahtzee's review on it and the game still kind of interests me.thirion1850 said:Druids were added in the expansion, however. I'm sure they'll get around to it. Thing is, though, I've already played Diablo 3. It's called Torchlight.
Think he was joking about D3's new look and how it's less Diabloesque and more WoWish.DragonChi said:can you link me to the D3 review from Yahtzee. I don't see any review from him about it. It's all good. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Feel free to stay on the fence as long as you want. The rest of us will just be playing and having a blast.Phoenix_XIII said:I know I know. Diablo is Stylized, but it's not THAT stylized. The original wasn't stylized, but Diablo 2 certainly was. No one is build like that Barbarian. From what I've seen and I've watched almost all the Diablo 3 footage so far, it's about as Stylized as Diablo 2 was.Phoenix_XIII said:Think he was joking about D3's new look and how it's less Diabloesque and more WoWish.
I know I'm gonna play it, and odds are as the Witch Doctor, but all I'm really saying is, I really liked the Necro.Altorin said:It's all good. I wouldn't worry about it too much. The game isn't even in its beta yet.Phoenix_XIII said:They have less classes than in Diablo II and they aren't exactly that good? In Diablo II I played as either a Druid or Necromancer because they could pretty much raise armies of Spirits / Skeletons and other stuff so it helped me out because face it: A lot of stuff in Diablo II was difficult up close. I don't know how I would've beaten Blood Raven if it weren't for my skeleton army. There were too many things around her and she ran away whenever you got close to her. Melee was really hard for me. And using Bows or Crossbows wasn't very easy for me. They have ONE class where you can summon, but the summoning doesn't come until later on. Having a true Summoning class is very important. It gives people who aren't that skilled at melee, magic, or long distance attacking a very good advantage. I kind of feel just cut out of Diablo III's plan here.
What are your thoughts?
Right..I think the review your referring to, is the Torchlight Review. You didn't provide a Link to your source of information, and that is the only episode that somewhat resembles a Diablo-esque game, and saying that the game being reviewed looks like WoW in some respects in art style. Torchlight does look similar to WoW, but D3 is nowhere close IMHO.Phoenix_XIII said:Think he was joking about D3's new look and how it's less Diabloesque and more WoWish.DragonChi said:can you link me to the D3 review from Yahtzee. Summon Necros were good. Battle.net was too much of a hassle for me to actually use so I never did any PVP. And against monsters and crap they were really good.Turtleboy1017 said:The game isn't even in its beta yet.Phoenix_XIII said:They have less classes than in Diablo II and they aren't exactly that good? Your complaints have literally no backing to them whatsoever. And Diablo 2 was the most unbalanced thing I had ever played in my life. Summon necros were absolute garbage in just about everything, PvP, PvE, they just sucked.
Smiters with Enigmas were the opposite, absolute gods in every possible way.
So perhaps they are trying to create a game that really balances the skills and strengths of each class to make a fun experience. In this case, make summoned creatures more powerful but less spamable so that they actually do something.
Complain when the game comes out.
I got through the game with mainly summoning skills. The other stuff I never really used.Bon_Clay said:The way I see if the Witch Doctor is a true summoner class. The necro had offensive spells and other stuff as well, you can probably build it different ways.
And you couldn't do well with ONLY summoning skills as a necromancer. If you didn't use some curses and corpse explosion your character would be useless in hell.
I saw a video for D3 and it looked kinda brighter. The Original Diablo looked dark and dreary and it was good. In D2, it took you to a lot of different places yes, but still maintained optimal dreariness.DragonChi said:Right..I think the review your referring to, is the Torchlight Review. Quote For Truth.Mark Hardigan said:It seems like you are going off the assumption that Diablo 3 will be balanced in the same way as Diablo 2. Given that Diablo 3 has different classes and is a new game built from the ground up, this is a very silly assumption, as most assumptions usually are. After all, you know what they say about what assuming makes out of you and me.
Your other post said you didn't bother with battle.net, so I assume you mean you got through single player. I guess that would work, but most people play online and without curses and corpse explosion your necro would be a pile of crap compared to anyone else playing.Phoenix_XIII said:I got through the game with mainly summoning skills. I can see what you mean. When I play Diablo though, I only play single player. It just seems like more of a single player game to me. I guess whether or not a Summon Necro works depends on the way you play the game, correct?Bon_Clay said:Your other post said you didn't bother with battle.net, so I assume you mean you got through single player. If you wanted to beat difficult bosses with other people in the room, do runs in hell, or do PVP you needed to make character a lot better than single player. I played on hardcore mode so it was especially competitive, you had to have your crap together or you were dead.
