Poll: Am I worrying to much? 2012

There is no logical or rational reason why the world could end in 2012.

I just saw that IHC or whatever comercial about 2012. And being the come rational person I am I think I might puke. Am I worrying to much about 2012? Do you think it'll happen?

If it does happen, then it wont happen the way IHC is going to portray it. In the great words of Christopher Walken: It needs more cowbell. Now the relevant quote: I try not to worry about things I can't do anything about.

I've heard the hypothesis that the "end of the Mayan calendar" isn't necessarily the end of the world, it's a turning point or major change for the world.

It could also be that the Mayan calendar-makers just decided to stop at December 21, 2012. That's kind of far into the future to make a calendar. Who knows? I'm personally looking forward to celebrating Christmas in 2012.

The only doomsday i know will happen is that our sun will die. in a couple of billion years.

Fuck, you think we're going to live for a couple billion years? We've already killed our air and half our animals and we're barely getting started.

I don't think we're going to survive till 2050, so that lazy sun is either going to have to get his ass in gear with the exploding, or we're going to die before he can kill us.

On the topic of 2012, not only is there no scientific evidence, there's no anything evidence. So the Mayan calender stopped. Ok. For all we know, there's another 500 years of predictions chiseled and hidden, or maybe they just stopped because they were only human.

I wasn't saying we'd live that long, Thank Christ if we can survive another few thousand years. what i was saying is that the only way i know of that will destroy the planet naturally is the sun dying.
