America is dipshit. The only reason they even came to help us in WWII was because a Nazi Submarine was stupid enough to attack one of their vessels. And they were pissed as hell about that.

But before that they didnt care at all. Sounds pretty egocentric to me.
I think you mean WWI, German Submarine, and a British ship with Americans onboard...
We're talking about the "Lusitania" right?
Yeah.... WWII was started by a little thing called the bombing of Pearl Harbor, where are you from again? Nazi-ism wasn't even prominent until after WWI, and it was the Japs who attacked us, not the Germans. You seriously couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

My message box is being spammed with quotes right now.

I will admit that my post was a tad ignorant and I should have done more research before posting. Then again History never was my brightest side.

I read all this anti-American sentiment as noting more than unabashed jealousy, considering what we as a people are able to achieve in spite of all the mechinations against us.

So go ahead, piss and moan about how horrible people you've never met are, and I'll continue enjoying life in the most free nation on the planet ;)
Cause America is the best country in the world right?

"Dislike both the people and the system".
And you guys call US the xenophobes. XD

What is "the system" anyway? You guys realize that we don't all believe the same things, right? We don't all support the wars we get into. We don't all eat cheeseburgers all day and get fat and shoot guns. We aren't all against gay marriage. And the smarter of us support National Health Care. It's not our fault our government takes better care of Capitalist monopolies than it does its own people.
Lol at using National Health Care and smarter in the same sentence.

Most of all, I dislike how many 'What do you think about America?' threads there are. Which I have seen more of than all other variants combined. What's up with that guys? Seriously.

Dislike the people and the system. Now, there are lots of great American people but ON AVERAGE their population is waaay too ignorant. This is reflected in their government as well; corruption is rampant and many of their leaders choose inappropriate (re)actions out of ignorance or selfishness.

America has been on a downward slope for almost a decade, and unless the people and government are willing to admit that their own actions are causing their(and others') problems this trend is likely to continue.

Edit: Almost forgot about their freaking self-entitlement
As for our political system, yea, it has some serious flaws, but all-in-all we Americans still enjoy far more freedom.than probably 99% of the rest of Earths populations. Every government, especially one of significant size, has a corruption problem; at least in America, thanks to our being a constitutional republic, we have an opportunity to change our leadership every few years. I will concede.that the 'bipartisan' system tends to give credence to extremists morsel than is prudent.

So go ahead, piss and moan about how horrible people you've never met are, and I'll continue enjoying life in the most free nation on the planet ;)
You do realize that you being able to change your leadership has nothing to do with you being a republic? I live in Sweden and we're a monarchy and we can also change our leadership every four years. I think the word you're looking for is democracy.

Speaking of jumping to conclusions about people you've never met:
we Americans still enjoy far more freedom than probably 99% of the rest of Earths populations.
How exactly do you measure freedom?

And "99% of the rest of Earths populations"? What the fuck does that mean??? Are you implying that America makes up 1% of the worlds population?

As you stated yourself America has around 300,000,000 inhabitants. Earth's population is about
6 900,000,000.

100(300,000,000/6 9,000,000,000) ≈ 4,4

So according to this calculation the American people make up about 4% of the worlds population. Not 1%. Unless you meant that only part of the American people had freedom, which would make it strange of you to defend a nation on the basis that a minority of it's inhabitants were free.

But maybe you meant that 99% of the rest of Earths nations were less free than United States? That would mean that there are 100 nations total on Earth. And there isn't. There are 193 nations on Earth that are internationally recognized. So...

What the fuck are you talking about? Please explain.

Note: It's late and I calculated on my phone so I could have gotten it wrong

That and it would increase the national debt by 8% in under a decade, but go ahead and call me a fascist. I'm not against the idea, I'm against the amount of money that this legislation is going to cost.

First and foremost, America is not a democracy. We're a Constitutional Republic.

Secondly, I'm glad he's able to differentiate between the people and their system of rule. Judging the citizens of a country based upon their government would be a bad, bad thing.

Third, We don't give two, that's TWO, flying fornications whether y'all who don't live here like our government. Its our system, its worked so far. It has room for changes and balances. Its up to US to change it if we want to. Not some people half way around the world.

Lastly I'd just like to comment on some of the posts that have come before mine. Mainly those about "the rich stay rich, the poor stay poor." If that wasn't the biggest piece of bullshit I've ever read/heard/seen, I wouldn't have replied to this thread. Kid, let me inform you that YOU TOO could be rich like some of those people. Go invent something, go innovate something, go discover something. Go LEARN A VALUABLE TRADE. (I will admit that there are plenty of descendants of the people who did these very things that are living on their inherited wealth and nothing more *COUparishiltonGH*) But that's the way the cookie crumbles.

In closing, Buckle up buttercup and quit complaining about those who have it better than you and go learn/make/do something that makes YOUR life better.

Cheers.

As an American, I do not like the general youth. The adults are fine, but the youth of America is just horrid. These kids don't give a shit about their education, and they eat up anything the media tells them like it is fact. The political system has been poorly executed.

Also, there is a point I would like to make. During my time here, I've noticed a lot of members are of the view point that Republicans are stupid, narrow minded people. Please stop thinking like that. You are listening to stereotypes. Some of the most open minded and philosophical people I know are all members of the Republican party. I have enough trouble having to listen to my extremely democratic-independent U.S. History teacher call us that; I don't like seeing it all over the internet too.

The world is a brutal place. Anyone who disagrees should spend some time Active Duty military and see for themselves. America is in alot of places where the rest of the world has abandoned and put "out of sight, out of mind". Considering the size of the US and it's economic influence, there will never be a perfect system. It's pretty good where it is at but there is always room for improvement. IMHO.

*Note* For those that could not pick it out, yes I was active duty, 5 years. And have been to some pretty bad shit hole countries around the world helping poor, defenseless people from their OWN governing factions from abuse and neglect. Africa and eastern Asia mostly.

I don't think any European has ever 'died in the waiting room'. Oh wait, you're just using bad conservative rhetoric. Cute.

Except the whole lend-lease thing. We helped keep the Allies in the war before we officially joined. We weren't neutral in anything but name. So please, continuing calling hundreds of millions of people stupid. It isn't generalizing, or anything.

Better a waiting room than no hope of good medical care at all. Even with the NHS in Britain there is still private hospitals for those who don't want to wait.

It's actually surprising all this American hate on here. You know that our 300 million population isn't all based on Fox right? And the fact that most of the users on the website are from countries (Western Europe plus Russia) that are all just as bad as the US can be sometimes with Foreign Policy and general population stupidity

On topic though, as an American I don't like how the "System" consists of rich older people who are unwilling to change things that need to be changed. I hate how more people listen to the dipshit's with the loudest voice rather than actually forming their own opinion

Politics is always stupid. Always.
