I suggest making a website to blacklist the rude and profane gamers online. The rule would be simple: If a gamertag gets nominated for the list on 3 days in a month, it will be added. After a name is added, it's up to all of you, the community, to stop playing with the people who are on the list. Reinforce the notion that being rude and profane online will ruin their experiance, and they will stop. I would do this myself, but I have neither the time, nor the energy to keep the site running the way it would need to. Please, post any ideas or comments below, and thank you for reading this.

This is an incredibly bad idea.

Think of how many people would abuse it to fuck with others. It wouldn't work in a million years.

I'm not on a console - but the idea seems pretty good. Even if it can't help with Xbox Live, it would work nicely with Steam.

Not sure about on other places, but on xbox live it's usually random matches. So do I just have to keep leaving a match every time I see someones name that I recognise a name from some enormous list that I've memorised?

Some rude gamers can add to the fun. I love hearing someone cuss me off after capping him for the fifth or sixth time. Gives me a little giggly gleeful feeling.

Sorry mate, it just wouldn't work. As people have said before, people would abuse it.

Unfortunately trying to curb undesirable behavior online is a huge waste of time and energy. Much easier to just mute these assbags.

I think more games should include a black list feature, but one that you maintain yourself, so your less likely to get put into a random game with someone you've put on your black list.
Yep, agree. + This shit is crazy enough that it may work.

Agreed you can't end hate with hate...only brute force.

I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think it would work. As Hubilub said, people would abuse the system.

The report and mute functions work pretty good for me.
Yeah thats as perfect as the system will ever get, it peaked with the mute option.

I would prefer a button like the one in one of the Bond films, at a push I send about 2000 volts through the headset. This would also mean a drop in population and a sudden decrease in viable MW2 games as we would pretty much be down to my friends and the denizens of this site within about a week!

BBC2 on the other hand has yet to anger me so I doubt I would break the button through over use in the first 2 days!

I already do something simlaiar to this if I encounter someone who's just a real jerk to people outside the usuall smack talk you here I put them on my ban list becuause I have had pepole send me personal mail to my gamertag with comments that are just beyond insluting so I think I can support this idea 100%
