So you're sitting around one day, eating a taco, when someone comes up to you and offers to pay you $2.5 million in exchange for every single piece of property that you own. He'll give you a couple hours before repossessing the clothes you're wearing at this moment, but everything else will be transferred immediately.

Your house, your car, your clothes, your online accounts, any heirlooms or souvenirs you may own, jewelry, games/movies, appliances, everything.

Do you take the offer?

(Oh, by the way, I'm not counting pets)
Ahem. according to most terms and conditions you do not own your online accounts. the service is provided to you. and therefore is owned by the corporation who made it. This means that any attempt to sell that account is a breach of agreement and you could be sued.... i think

He could even just take my clothes right then and there. It would be odd trying to buy some clothes in the nude when all you have a 2.5 million... er, would I at least be able to have a bank card? I'm thinking of the logistics of trying to carry around 2.5 million in cash with no clothing and thus no pockets/bags.

I would laugh at that man for trying to scam me, and then tell him to leave me alone.

I feel 2.5mil is too easy of a choice for most of us. 500k would be a more debatable number. Heck maybe even 100k honestly (at least for me)

But going topic i would be a complete idiot to not do this. My worldly possessions would at most net me about at most 10k and thats being generous.

This depends on the if there were hassles involved. Such as dealing with taxes and the IRS etc. If I just somehow ended up with 2.5 million of clean, no strings attached, ready to go money in some bank account, then yes, I would. I'm not super attached to anything I own. I'm the opposite of the person who covers his/her room with posters and toys/statues/figurines/knicknacks of things they like. My room is bare; the most personal it gets is I have a poster I got from a DVD season of the Office sitting on top of a bunch of random stuff I haven't organized. That's as close as I've gotten to hanging posters. So, no, I could easily rebuild (and better) from what I "lost." I don't even own any particularly valuable property, except a decade old Honda Civic, a decent TV, my PC, an 9-year old snowboard and some game consoles. That'd be a raw deal for the buyer.

I would probably do the same for as low as $50,000 (but I wouldn't tell the buyer that :p)
