Hate it.

I'm pretty much on a never-ending campaign to despise Japanese-thought-up ideas.

'Cept the robots they have there. Those are cool.

overall i enjoy anime. favorites would be both Fullmetal Alchemist series due to believable characters and a driven story, Soul Eater because of the humorous interchanges between characters, and Darker than Black(the first season) due to the way it gave enough details to raise questions without giving definitive answers.

I hate is with a burning passion. Its awful like Aaron B. Cooper. That and I'm not a 40 year old virgin who lives with his mom watching anime and talking about it on 4chan in my mothers basement.

I have a lot to say on this. I don't intrinsically like things just because they're anime or Japanese. If something sucks ass it sucks ass, regardless of it being anime or not.

If I like something I like it, regardless of it being anime or not. So do I like anime? Well, if it's good, of course I do.

I love anime

I watch quite a bit of mainstream stuff, but I do watch some less well known things too.

Some anime is awesome, Black Lagoon, Lain, Kanon, Last exile.

Some is horrible.

Very very horrible.

This is due to the fact its like saying cartoon. There are some cartoons that are funny as hell(TDI, though not its god awful sequel) and some that make me want to drive a stake through my brain, (16teen).

Just like horror. Some is really cool (The signal) some is terrible (Scream)

I "used" to love anime, back when it had originality and good writing (sort of). Now adays, it seems like it's more about emo, hipsters teens or some other irrelevant stereotype. Not to mention the writing, and especially the dialog and character designs, are just uninspired and down right horrendous. The animation itself has gotten lazy as well. Most anime used to be beautifully drawn, now the animators rely too much on computer generated backgrounds and still frames that last WAY too long. There are a few shining series in today's current anime, but they're so few and far between it's like a grain of sand in the Pacific. And no, I don't mean crap like Death Note, Bleach, or Fullmetal Alchemist.

God I miss Miyazaki.

I like Anime a lot, and I can unequivocally say that I like most Anime animation styles (except for chibi/superdeform) more than any other animation style. Lately however, I've just gotten burned out on Anime. It's got so many tropes and recurring themes that get on my nerves and so many story lines that are repeats or knock-offs of other shows (case-in-point: every Gundam Anime EVER) that I just don't pay that much attention to it anymore.

That and many of my friends and most people in general don't like Anime and think it's bizarre, immature, or just plain stupid, and frankly I tend to agree with them in many cases (particularly in the case of the movie Ninja Scroll). I still like Anime in general and I'm not about to let other people's feelings decide what my hobbies are, but it's just another thing I enjoy that I can't talk to anybody about, which is a bit of a downer.

I voted "Indifferent", in case you were wondering.

I like the art style (generally speaking), if that says anything. But I don't like most series, if that says anything else.

A lot of anime has some weird stuff (then again, most of it does come from Japan...) in it. That being said, Hayao Miyazaki is by far my favorite film maker. I haven't really watched any other animes (tryed watching Bleach once... that was just sad), to be honest.

I like it, a lot of the shows don't appeal to me, but those that do are great... sort of.

My favorites are Elfen Lied and Higurashi (insert rest of name here).

Even now and then I'll watch a couple of episodes from a show some friends have suggested but mostly I hate it. It just feels to over the top with everything like story and action not in a good way but more like a cheezy way theres no sublty to it. Also I hate see fan-vids where people Japanife the hell out of a beloved books.

If you haven't ran across any of these videos then look apon the horror

Loved the warrior books thought a fan anmation might be somewhat midly intersting but they just had to go all Japan[small]y[/small] on it.

I'm not ashamed to say that I love anime. Yes, I know that not all of them are good, but that's to be expected. But, it has been a while since I've watched any anime.

Anime is a style rather than genre IMO, like anything you get good you get bad. I can't say I like a film/series just becuase it is anime.

There is a lot of shlop out there and sadly it tends to be the aspects of these that people think of when you ask them about anime (schoolgirls/tentacles/giant swords/angsty teens w/big hair/furries)and I have zero time for these but there is also some very good stuff, I'm fairly sure The Ghibli films count as anime (be it mixed with european art style)so for me the are the pinnacle of anime, to the point where they are so wonferfull the fact that they are anime is irrelavent.
