As a karaoke regular, I am sick of karaoke companies coming out with Glee covers of songs that already have perfectly good non-Glee karaoke versions, when they could be publishing karaoke versions of songs that have not already been karaoke-ified.
Also, it's on right before "So You Think You Can Dance", which is my guilty pleasure show, so I always end up catching the last few minutes of whatever song they're butchering that week or whatever emotional crisis someone is going through.
It's not my cup of tea, but it doesn't really fill me with revulsion the way some other shows I could name do. The little bit I've seen of it strikes me as pretty trite, with cookie-cutter characters and stilted dialogue and the obligatory "teen issue of the week" like it was an after-school special, but I kind of get the feeling it's supposed to be that way, sort of tongue-in-cheek. So, whatever. If you like it, go ahead and like it. I am happy to direct my bile elsewhere.
