Well, I'm sick of putting up with IW's bullshit, but more to the point, it looks like a mix of the medicore parts of MW1 & 2. I'm not spending 60 bucks on that. If they would take the very best parts of both CoD 4 and MW2, then I would buy it, but this feels like a cash grab.
I'm not buying Battlefield, because I have played a few, also recent ones, and I'm not fully convinced by their greatness. In other words, I don't think they are very good. Since BF3 again promises to be more of the same, I'm not buying it.

I'm probably getting Modern Warfare 3 because I sold all my other CoD's, but miss having a mindless shooter to fall back on when I don't feel like thinking.
I know a few of my friends are just going for Battlefield 3, but since I know I find Call of Duty fun and haven't played any Battlefield outside of 3's beta which I didn't enjoy, it wouldn't seem like a good investment of money to join the Battlefield bandwagon.

Skyrim, Saints Row 3, Arkham City, AC:R and L.A. Noire for PC.

Why would I want another modern military FPS when I have all these other games to look forward to? Skyrim alone will keep me entertained for years!

Yes. Getting them both, along with Skyrim, Saints Row 3 and AC: Revelations.

Oh boy, this winter is going to be so much fun...

Preordered BF3, and I'm getting MW3 off the Redbox for 2 bucks a night, pretty good deal!

I am getting BF3. I would get MW3 so I could play with a few friends, but I don't have enough moneys to get two games.

honestly I'm not very interested in them. I might pick them up one day, but for now I'm content with Gears of war 3, Saints Row 3, Maybe the new Assassins game, and of course Zelda.

I had both pre-ordered and paid off. Standard Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition.

Then I played the Battlefield 3 beta. Canceled that pre-order and opted for Skyrim instead.

I was pretty iffy about Battlefield 3 from the start. I thought it'd be pretty generic and generally boring. I was right.

Should really be a maybe option as I will probably be getting BF 3 but I might not get MW 3. Whether or not I get MW 3 depends on how it fares when it is put out into the public I want to see how unbalanced it is.

i will end up owning both yes.

i'll be buying battlefield, then probably get call of duty for christmas(every year lol)
both are pretty fun though.
battlefield feels bigger and just better overall. but i like CoDs tighter controls better, the sp is good and i'll play the mp for a little while. Not long because i end up in a daze mindlessly using my right index fingers twitch reflex.

I am planning on getting Battlefield then at some point borrowing CoD from my bro-in-law so I can play through the single player.

Neither.

Battlefield never really grabbed my attention, and I'm done with COD.

Besides, I will be busy finishing Dark Souls, and then playing AC: Revelations and Skyrim right afterwards.

Ok, I have many hours of Black Ops and many hours of Bad Company 2 played. They are fun games that I both enjoy equally. I played the beta for Battlefield 3....and......its more of the same. I already have both games already as far as I'm concerned.

Buying both would be like buying Forza 3 and Forza 4 on the same day. What's the point?

I'll pick up Battlefield 3 when it's on Sale with all the DLC Map Packs in 6 months time.

I need more information on Origin before purchasing BF3, so I'll wait for reviews of how it handles. I'll be buying MW3. I've followed both series since their first iteration, and both seem to be shaping up to be good games.

I probably will get them both at some point, but I saved my purchase and preorder for my Long love Halo. 40$ is a ton better in my book than 60$
