Poll: Anyone else hate the Skyrim animal races?

I just can't bring myself to play as a cat-man or a lizard-man. It would break all sense of immersion for me. I'm Dutch and English; no part of my family tree was a cat or lizard. So I'd just feel like I was pretending to be my character, instead of actually BEING my character.

I dunno, I find it completely believable that, in a terrifying realm such as tamriel, evolution could take more than one path, that the hostile environs and creatures could force more creatures to adapt to the stage at which they are humanoid.

And besides, neither argonians or kahjhitt come originally from skyrim. Kahjhitt come from a desert land, and argonians from a swampy one. Their evolution makes even more sense in that context.

I don't like how their tails just randomly clip through the back of their armor (especially egregious with the cape on the Nightingale armor), but other than that, I have now problem with them. In fact, Khajiit are my favourite race to play, both for looks and gameplay benefits. And, yes, there's no possible way the Khajiit and Argonians could have evolved naturally, but we're also talking about a world where magic, gods, and creationism are objective facts, so I don't think we need to worry too much about where the kitty and lizard people came from.

Nope, I like them. More than most of the mer races, to be honest. I haven't finished the game, yet, but my closest dovakhin to doing so is a Khajit, and I've become more enamored of them as I've played and met more of them.

My second Dovakiin was a Khajiit(I'm always a Nord first playthrough as that's closest to my ancestry, yeah I usually make myself) so yes, I do like the beast races. The unarmed fighting(claws) and night vision starting perks make for one beastly werewolf(the unarmed perk for being a werewolf stacks with the racial perk). Also it's cool to be a cat that moonlights as a dog(pun not intended, but welcome anyway). I never play as an Argonian because they have no offensive racial perks. It would be cool to be a thief who explores the bottom of the ocean for treasure though.

Argonians are more Raptor like than Salamander like.

Therefore they are full of win.

Also Kahjiit are far more interesting being Bobcat like rather than just Lion People.

Bobcat with a bad ass Mohawk, a Ebony great sword, ebony mail and an ebony bow, love my character.
