Until recent years, my school had a variety of AP classes. Now they've switched to a different system where local universities offer college credit for courses that adhere to their curriculum. Most courses I have taken the past two years have been of this nature.

I took AP physics and biology in highschool. Unfortunately, neither they physics nor the biology actually count towards my degree. Even though the physics was "college level" and my degree calls for it. The problem is, there are two basic flavors of this basic physics offering in college. The version I took was based off of algebra and trigonometry. The version I needed was rooted in calculus.

AP and IB are basically the same thing as long as you don't go full IB. The major difference is that if you choose to go to a college outside the US, IB will be weighted far heavier.

OT, I've taken Statistics, US History, European History and English in AP, English HL 2 and World History in IB.

It's worth it. Except stats. I hated stats :(

I took AP American History, AP European History, and AP Economics class + test, then the two AP English classes just for shits and giggles. Although the only one that ended up being useful credit-wise was the Euro...

It was Ap European history. I think I did well. But who knows?
I have my AP World History test on Thursday (Sophomore as well), but I would have taken European History at my school but because of budget cuts that class was canceled.
Next year though I'm taking AP English, Art History, and maybe U.S History.

You are a god. I've heard French is a tizzy, although Latin is considered the worst test in languages.

Harsh. My school is in giant debt, but they're cutting fine arts and tech more than anything.

Next year I'm taking AP Psych and AP History. So huzzah!

Letsee, so far I've taken the World History, U.S. History, Eng. Language in past years, this year I've taken the U.S. Gov, Calc AB, Eng. Literature, and I still have to take Macroeconomics...and tomorrow, I'm taking Physics C, both Mechanics and E&M. It's like the scary older brother of Physics B, (now with 4x the calculus. Yaaaay.)

You took Physics B, then, I guess. B doesn't involve calculus from what I understand.

But, enough procrastinating, back to studying. Good luck to all on your APs!

I took U.S. Gov. last Monday and comparative Politics the same day. I took the AB calculus test on Wednesday. Those compose the 3rd, 4th, and 5th AP tests I've taken. Luckily I'm a senior, so I'm done.

My school unfortunately has already cut our fine arts. That's why I was unable to take Advanced Animation, they also cut all the workshops like Wood shop and Metal Works.

I sympathize with you. My school seems to be going in the same shitter.

I took my AP Comparative Government exam last monday. It wasn't that bad. However, IB is much harder. Which is why I am only taking the classes, not getting the diploma. Hurray for loopholes!!!

To be honest, I still don't know how I managed either of those. Calculus was already reputed to be a cinch, anyway, but I didn't think I did all that well in French or Art History when I finished the tests.

Might have helped that my art history teacher was my favorite teacher ever. He also taught that European history class, but that didn't go as well. We rushed to be able to cover the World Wars and 20th century history in particular...turned out the test was 60% on the 19th century and the Industrial Revolution. He was pissed off at the testmakers for that, and I think I managed to luck out with that 3.

ha, well I still plan on trying, although I still have to catch up from the Rococo period.

which is me least favorite art movement ever. blegh

And Calculus was way nicer than I expected. Except for that elephant free response

Is AP like the highest level you can take in high school or something along those lines?
AP classes are college level classes. Towards the beginning of May, you take an exam for that class. If you score a 3, 4, or a 5, you get college credit.

I took AP US History Friday, and will take AP English, AP Calculus, and AP Chemistry next year.
Right gotcha. Think I did the Scottish equivalent of an AP then, called an advanced higher - it's like a good qualification for a job and can get you into high level university subjects. So think it's the same thing as your APs however we can only do them in our final year of school.

Did AH Biology and passed it, wasn't easy

For some reason, I wasn't all that fond of most of the painting styles from Renaissance until Impressionism (now architecture, on the other hand...). And actually, I couldn't remember what Rococo was, so I had to look it up again just now. Didn't leave much of an impression on me either, I suppose.

These days, any of my classes involving art tend to be focused on Asian Studies (one of my majors, actually).

It's been years since I took that test. What response was that, again?
