I have noticed just recently that a large number of gamers seem to complain alot about many things they feel they are entitled to. For example a better ending for Mass Effect 3 and just recently the removal/alternative to Games for Windows Live for the PC release of Dark Souls. I know that the ending for ME was pretty bad and there are many threads out there discussing that, but this is not about that.

Whenever anything that people don't like is announced or found there always seems to be a massive uproar about it with petitions and many angry posts flying over the internet. This is by no way a new thing but just recently its exploded in popularity.

TLDR- Are we as gamers too self entitled today or are we right in demanding things be changed just because we don't like it?

I think its alright to complain about some things such as witheld game content but I don't think its right to demand that a developer change their games story just because people don't like it.
Definition of entitled:
1. To give a name or title to.
2. To furnish with a right or claim to something: The coupon entitles the bearer to a 25 percent savings. Every citizen is entitled to equal protection under the law.

Heres a thing:

1) If Nobody complains then you don't get to say you complained about it and the company gets to do whatever it wants.

Do you want every game-company ever made from here to the next millennium to get away with story relevant day1 dlc that effectively increases their price?
Lackluster narrative in story driven games?
and what is essentially fake hype?
(The ending wont be A B or C and your choices matter are very good examples)

Do you want the cancer that is "games for windows live" to spread?

IF you don't then voice your fucking concerns and be as goddamn vocal as you damn well please. You are entitled to do that.

We can tend to be bitchy, but its not like all of us are like that. Some of us are just passive-aggressive about it and stay off the internet when in a foul mood (or, at least, I do)
