Generalization of this caliber is bullshit and you all know it. There's no equal human being no matter what gender they are. Sure genetics might lead some people into behaving in a certain way but that doesn't mean they are "forced" to do so. A lot of circunstances could get in the way and change a person drastically.

I've met a lot of twitched, sarcasm spitting, over-the-shoulder-looking cold-blooded bitches. And I've met plenty of girls that just said what they thought. Some girls are smart, others not so much.

Seriously, stop thinking "Women" is an unified organizated terrorist group that has a plot against all males to squeeze the sperms out of their testicles in order to create a new order. It doesn't work like that.

Oh and on a sidenote, what exactly do you find "complex"? When a girl says no but in her mind she is saying yes? That's not being complex, that's being a child-person. That's inmature behaviour and if you think that makes someone complex you have some problems yourself.

pretty much summed up what I meant when I wrote above you. Woman are not complex their just childish. They don't say what they mean. They allude to it and expect you to figure it out and are pissed when you don't.

Agree with awesome. Doesn't help the fact that not every person thinks the same either, which further complicates the whole "understanding" of each gender.

I am a Girl and I think the sexes are equally complex.

Seriously I come across just as many Males who're complex and sometimes more than Females.

I think that, contrary to sixth-grade mentality and instinct, individuals are both complex and simple people. People always seem more complex when they're not you; over-thinking things and claiming generalizations about gender like this are dumber than hell.

I tend to think that women are more complex, but that's probably a result of women being a mostly foreign thing to me. I've always spent more time around guys, and I've never really had any female friends that I spent a lot of time with (outside of school, of course). So perhaps the same amount of complexity, but more understanding on the male side.

I'm female and both sexes are equally confusing to me. I've always had more male friends because of my intrests, but I don't understand them any better than my own sex.

People are complex creatures made up of a twisted mass of emotions, cultural norms, and ideas.

Most guys are not sex freak assholes, just like most women aren't emotion driven nuts. Those people are just louder and more obvious so it seems like they're the norm.

In my experience, girls are wtf soup.
Meaning: swirl of emotions that ends up creating a tangled mess of complexity.
So yeah, more complex, here.

Both sexes equally complex. However, there's a general difference in communication: guys tend to speak straight forwardly and don't pick up non-verbal cues as well, girls tend towards the opposite focussing more on non-verbal cues rather than the exact wording of what is said. At least in my experience most arguments arise out of this. Neither is really at fault its just different approaches to communication, but unfortunately even when you recognise that this happens its still hard to avoid.

I think this communication difference is the main reason why males are seen as "simplistic" while females are seen as "complicated". Of course, I'm making a generalisation and many won't conform to this.

While both can be either equally complex or basic, I find that men are more logical, while women are more emotional. Because emotions are wild, varied, and much more difficult to pin down than simple, rules-based, step-by-step logic, it leads to the perception that women are more "complex".

On that note, I'm seen many many MANY a man laugh at this comic til tears stream down his face, so I'm assuming I'm not being the only bigoted one by forming my conclusion above:
<spoiler=apologies in advance for the negative representation of women in this comic. However, the REACTION is surprisingly commonplace>http://ragecollection.com/rages/772.png

I've got this sinking feeling that there are a lot of people immediately looking for the politically correct option. Makes me think I should have left it out and forced all of you to make a tough choice.
You should always go about these polls by calling random people at 3am. It generally tends to get you less politically correct answers.

I like how so few girls voted in the poll.

518 boys voted
60 girls voted
Yeah, I'd say that your poll results are a bit biased, but whether that's because there are few women on The Escapist, or that this poll attracts males more than females is hard to say.

OT: Girls create so much unnecessary drama. Boys just don't, probably because, if boys are simpler than girls, then a group of men will have more in common with each other than a group of women. This can be demonstrated by what each sex thinks is attractive. The vast majority of men think that large (but not too large) breasts, curves, and roughly hourglass-shaped women are hot, while women can't really agree on what makes a man hot beyond whether he has abs or not. Some women like short men, some like tall men, other like men who hit the gym often, while still others like not-so-muscular men. It varies dramatically.

I know this because I've had discussions about that very topic with my female friends and relatives.
