Of course not, they 're just factory made pieces of wood/plastic with letters and numbers on them. They have NOTHING supernatural about them, even if you believe in that.

So why would ghosts or demons care if you used one?
Seems more logical to me that they'd whisper to you in your dreams or subconsious a billion times more easily than moving fingers. Because you know, fingers sometimes do tend to move without some occult force driving them :O

The only danger you are in is accidentally beating yourself across the head with the glass.

It could be, if you threw it hard enough.

It's only dangerous if you use it as a battery weapon.

Yes they are! Good ones are made from heavy wooden boards and those things can really hurt your foot if they land on it!
But I thought it was like one of those things that Judaism doesnt like with the whole contacting spirits.

Out of curiosity do you believe in curses and spirits stuff like that?

I was going to get one and use it with a few friends. Now, I don't usually buy into this sort of stuff but after hearing a few creepy stories (i scare easily) I'm not so sure. So, have you had any experiences? Most importantly: Are they dangerous?
Yes. Ouija board are extremely harmful if swallowed. They constitute a choking hazard.

Seriously, there are no spirits or whatever the fuckity fuck they say makes a Ouija board work. It's just and some other jerk sitting in a very uncomfortable position until your muscles start to spasm enough to moves that pointy thing. Then you just use confirmation bias or the Forer effect or a similar psychological phenomenon to make yourself think you've gotten some relevant reply. You didn't, though. It's all bullshit.

Look! Someone believes in new age crap! Everyone line up to take the piss out of them!
pretty much, and trying to get people to have a little bit more of an open mind is near impossible. Oh humans, we think we know everything.

Not that I believe in ghosts, but still. Humans don't and can't know everything. For all we know there IS such a thing, and we are completely ignorant.

You can't completely rule it out, much like you can't completely prove it.

I used it to talk to the ghost of my grandpa so I send messages to him like "hi i am your grand son". Every day I would do that, but nothing would happen, i didn't give up though. I spent $50 on the thing.

Last week when i was doing it my 20th time, something weird happened. The room started to spin and small objects started to float so I was pretty scared, eventually the ghost of my grandpa must have listened because the board moved on its own and spelled out "stop bothering me".

So my advice is use it in moderation.

The only thing scary about Ouija boards is how bored you'll become and wonder why the hell you even bought it. If you really want to scare people, buy a deck of Tarot cards and play around with them. You don't have to know how to use them just to freak people out. Just don't misuse them. They are very beautiful and some well-crafted sets can be really expensive.

Ahhhhh, these people have obviously never worked with a large group of teenage girls. Nothing beats four panic attacks and a fistfight caused by a homemade ouji board, one that is just a piece of paper with letters drawn on, and then by the spirit that was brought in by it and won't leave because it loves to haunt the rock that was picked up within two blocks of the city cemetary and thus HAS to be a part of someones headstone.

Seriously though, the best part was when the 60 year old cynical old coworker said she couldn't believe they would invite devils into the building, and then the on site medical professional agreed.

I'm pretty sure that if this is a problem (i.e. you're attempting to eat the Ouija board) then you're doing it wrong somehow.
