if that is truly your point of view, then woe be to all god believers that try to debate the existence of god with you. whereas they try to make a wise point, you demand evidence. well then, you haven't exactly proved he DOESN'T exist, yet.
I don't have to prove he doesn't exist, just as I don't have to prove Bigfoot, Nessie, the Invisible Pink Unicorn, the Flying Spaghetti Monster or that fire-breathing mastodons made of blue cheese and sandpaper don't exist. It's mathematically and scientifically impossible to prove the NON-existence of anything.
This is why the debate about spirituality and mysticism isn't really a debate. The burden of proof is on the believer, not the skeptic. You must provide evidence to support your proposition, and your evidence has to be metaphorically sandblasted to see how it holds up to the abuse. That's how the scientific method works. Your belief in the supernatural is pure superstition; meaning, no empirical scientific evidence has ever been found to support anything remotely akin to what you claim. It's folklore, ritual and hoax.
I most certainly respect your right to believe in such things; however, I do not respect the belief, itself. Science applies to everything in existence, and it doesn't go on holiday for the occasional treasured topic, no matter how many people may believe in it. Religion, spirituality and superstition are not exempt from critical examination.
