I think that Coed schools are probably the better bet, for socialization, although, I might be the outlier here, because after going to coed schools my entire life, I just don't like people in general. I am nowhere close to a "people person".
That, really. You need *some* contact with the opposite sex at the least, and I can't really see any benefits to keeping a school single-sex. I'm thinking single-sex schools are an outdated value of the way studying used to (not) work. Sit down, shut up and listen doesn't learn people things.MaxTheReaper said:And anyway, I don't see the benefits of segregation.
So what would you call an important job seeing that keeping your rubbish from piling in the street and pipes from bursting isn't important.Therumancer said:Nothing we do is going to change the fact that people to work the factories, clean the floors, and take out the trash are always going to be nessicary in greater numbers than the people doing the important jobs.

This. Without girls(or boys, depending on your gender) you won't know how to interact properly or at all with the opposite sex. Its been proven, and its pretty easy to see it too if you do ever encounter someone from a single sex school.orannis62 said:It's always been my opinion that kids that go to Single-Sex schools don't really develop properly. You kind of need interaction with the opposite when you're growing up, especially during puberty.
Yeah, I cut a line from MaxTheReapers's post because it didn't apply for my purposes.MaxTheReaper said:One of the main points of school, I feel, is social interaction.
