I haven't had much trouble yet, I can kill most human enemies from one stealth shot with my bow, I do have trouble with trolls though, they're to fast
Agreed. 1st time I fought a troll was when I was climbing up to High Hrothgar. I was like: oh my first troll, this won't be so bad.Gabanuka said:Not really, aside from that motherfucking troll.
I couldn't tell if you were making a joke here with the (Don't know why) so if you are, I apologize for telling you something you already know.Chezza said:- magic damage, in particular frost (Don't know why)
As Fire/Lighting mage I feel your pain. A dragon? No problem, 1/4 of mana gone and dragon is down. Ward fellas? I have 456 mana and still managed to run out on just one of them. That collage quest to recover the books that had a 6 of them within earshot of each other. I was 65 pounds lighter after that fight, all of that weight was potions and scrolls I used, about 20 reloads :IExiusXavarus said:Unless it can kill me in 1 shot in a ranged manner, nothing poses a threat at all. Except the ward assholes. The ones that can just fire away at me with magic while they have a ward up. Fuck those guys. >> Literally the only thing that ever gives me trouble.
This is absolutely what it is for me. Granted, I'm not really focusing on one attribute so I switch it up a lot. For example, I couldn't beat a random bandit leader, so i ended up sneaking up and killing him, instead of my usual hack-and-slasheryAptspire said:I guess the trolls are, but when I met the "golden claw" boss(I was level 3 or so), I got killed...three times
I then switched my shield for healing spell and kept a 'hit and run' strategy, and he eventually died. In conclusion, I believe that this game is beatable, as long as you're willing to adapt a little
I was focusing mainly on archery, whilst a friend of mine was a balls-out warrior, and he was finding things easier than me to begin with. It depends on a lot of things.babinro said:The game can be somewhat unforgiving based on your build choices (particularly melee ones).
I focused on heavy armor, block, one-handed weapon and restoration. I was finding the game surprising challenging until I changed my focus on to enchanting and smithing. Turns out I needed more than just those primary skills and corresponding perks. The game certainly isn't easy...but I feel like the challenge is manageable.
My friend on the other hand is playing a Destruction mage and finds the game to be very easy so far. I get the feeling ranged focused builds are the games unspoken easy mode.
Not really. There are certainly enemies that you just aren't strong enough to fight, and the game gives you a fair shake though in that regard. Every super strong enemy I have fought I have been able to kill. From Deathlords at level 10, (I still have that Ebony sword btw.. Thank you.) To Frost Trolls and other baddies. There is generally always a way to fight whatever you come across so long as you play smart and your not afraid to use your bow and cover.. Or run around and shout at them and get a few hits in before running away again. (Ala me and the Deathlords.)mortalsatsuma said:Snip
