I was browsing around one night a while ago and found a site that talked about video games being banned because of the way kids act.
I ask what is your take on this?

It's Video games' turn.
Really Long Answer: No, people ruin society. Nothing has anything else to do with it than human stupidity. Saying otherwise is just pointing fingers so we don't have to admit that we fucked up all by ourselves, and thus take responsibility for our own actions.Amnestic said:Short answer: No

Don't forget books! And dancing! And movies! And, well, shucks, everything that is popular in today's society (except religion of course, that's always been accepted).ThePoodonkis said:Society has been saying stuff like this for generations.

I dunno about that. I do believe very violent/obscene games do affect the person playing it. But then again, so do R-rated movies and the sort of TV shows you find on HBO and Showtime. Hence why wiser portions of society shield their children from that sort of thing until they are older and more mature.Amnestic said:At the moment, I can only assume video games are being scapegoated. Until I see some sort of study proving otherwise, my initial statements stand.
I think you'll find my original had a full stop at the end, thereby making it longer! Ha ha!Richard Groovy Pants said:Fix'dAmnestic said:Short answer: No
