I do it every 3 months, it's not allowed to do it more often, though that wouldn't be a problem. Have done it for 4½ years, since I turned 18.

My veins are easy to spot, I heal up quickly and my blood is rare (AB+), so it's an easy good deed to do. That last sentence sounds weird. :p

Unfortunately, i can't donate blood. I have a phobia of needles that causes me to go pale, then pass out. When i had my most recent blood test, i was heavily advised by the nurse not to become a blood donor for that very reason, since i'd even passed out at the time for something as simple as that - i could never last a pint of blood.

I'm too young, but I'll be both a blood and organ donor. I can think of no reason not to ^_^

Side note: I don't see why they don't just have people automatically be organ donors and have to opt out of it. There's an organ shortage because people are too lazy to sign up. Anyway.

I'm a commoner - A+ blood - Given blood once so far, but I've only just been eligible to do so, I'm gonna try and give blood just bellow the maximum amount you can give a year (I'd like to have a couple of normal blood months a year, no real reason why ;)

Nope, two reasons why one, since I have crohns so they only let me donate plasma. And two, since Im anemic I cant afford to give any blood away.

I would, but unfortunately my blood is too tainted from past medical problems to donate.

i donate, because here they pay you for it ^_^
40 euro for plasma, 55 for full blood and more for some special tricks they pull. (that's around 50-65 USD for our colonist friends)

i even used to have two donator passes with different names, so i could go twice as often by donating during the mandatory breaks with a different identity xD
OMG! You get paid. We don't here in Finland. Nothing. But we get ice creams in summer time :)
In Britain you do it for free, but we do get biscuits and a free cup of tea as well as free healthcare so thats fine.

I give blood fairly regularly. As I am an O-, my blood can go to anyone. It is also low in something or other which makes it especially useful as they can give it to babies. Because of these factors, I get regular calls and letters telling me how amazing I am.
Yay, another in the "Most useful at an accident site" club. Those letters get really annoying after a while though. I also get 2 lots as I moved so get them telling me to go both to my old and my new sight. So annoying!

I'm going to start giving blood as soon as I can. Just a good way to help people. Also I don't have to see the people I'm helping.

EDIT: Also it is a good way to pay back the NHS.
Also it's a good way to get a health check on your blood!

I keep missing the blood drives because I'm busy, but I'm determined to get to the next one!

Yes, as of... *Counts on his fingers* about 6 days ago. I suppose I'll go with "Yes, as often as I can", as I plan to continue in the future.

Not sure why, but I apparently have too many tattoos.
I only have 5 of them, and they're not even that big.
And if my tattoos were somehow toxic, wouldn't I know after 7 years of having said tattoos?

I'm with you. I plan on signing up for organ donation when i'm 18. I hit 17 a couple of months ago, but there isn't any hospital around here... And I'm at school, so I don't get home until 4:30.
When I move I shall donate blood, though the donations will be quite intermittent, in between tattoos. Going for two full sleeves, at least...

I don't see much of a point to bothering. I'm AB+, so I can get anybodys blood, but only other AB+ people won't die (or at least get sick) from mine. I get that blood transfusions are useful and such, I really do, but I'd be like the loser who brings a bag of trailmix to a potluck dinner and thus would actually feel bad wasting the nurses time+equipment on even tapping my veins.
