And what is with the lack of a "No - I don't want to" option? Everything implies you do, want to and can't, did once, or haven't yet.

Yeah, I try to give as often as I can. My type is the one that gives to everyone but takes only from a donor with the same type as me.

I currently give blood, but when I do, I usually have to wait a few minutes after they check my pulse/blood pressure because it's too low. I forget what my blood pressure was at last time I gave blood, but my pulse was at 44bpm. After a few minutes, it was just barely past the threshold of being high enough to use. My pulse had gone up to 46bpm.

I'm guessing that soon, as I improve my physical fitness (the reason for the low pulse/pressure), it will get to the point where I'm unable to give blood because my blood pressure and pulse are consistently too low.

I don't at all, partly because I'm technically not allowed.
MSM? That's the reason I'm reluctant to start. Because sooner or later(hopefully sooner), I would have to stop.
Assuming I think it means what I think it means, yes and no. No, I haven't done it yet, yes, I do somewhat plan to do it at some point in my life. So I just don't see the point of signing up for a card for me to "celebrate" being with someone by snapping my blood donor card in half.

I can't. I would, but apparently if you've had a blood transfusion between 1980 something and 1990 something (can't remember the exact years, but it covers me), you're not allowed to... Although I think I can get mine tested anyway.

This is exactly my situation, I could give blood, but my fear of needles prevents me from doing so.

I keep my blood on the inside thank you very much.

When I'm dead you ghouls can have what you want from me, but till then all my insides stay that way.

I try to give blood as often as I can, but since I had surgury 6 weeks ago, and a history of bad reactions to anesthetic, they recommended that I don't give for at least 3 months after my surgury. But hopefully when that time is up, I'm good to go again.

I asked them, and apparently I'm not allowed, because I smoke cannabis from time to time.

Total nonsense. You know why? Anybody can have it. Anybody's blood is 'possibly contaminated'. But I'm banned, despite the fact that I'm tested and I know for a fact that I DON'T have it. It -is- bigotry. If you've ever had sex with someone, you might have it, unless you get tested to find out whether you do or don't. I don't. So why am I banned?

Indeed. So maybe we should ban those that -don't- have an STD test from giving blood, other than those we have decided are automatically 'unclean'. That would mean that only people who don't have STDs can give blood.

Fear of needles. It's a poor excuse, but they're the one thing I can't endure. I freak out and want to hit things/people...

No. I'm old enough, but I was born with my blood missing certain chemicals. I forget the actual name for what I have. So mine would just kinda be filtered out of the person's system if they try to use it, since mine isn't any good. lol.

Even if I could, I'm extremely terrified of any kind of injections, so I wouldn't donate just because I'd be too afraid of the thing they use to draw it.
