To be honest, I've been kind of purposely avoiding the show because I think I'd become a full-fledged "brony" if I did. The few short clips I've seen on Youtube suggests such an outcome for me.

I suppose my answer then is that I'm not a "brony" yet, though I probably will be.

I appear to be in the minority of people who neither love nor hate this show. It's certainly watchable, and it has its hilarious moments... but it's not some kind of huge comic revelation to me (I just finished watching episode 21... because I've had nothing better to do recently).
...though that might be because I haven't watched TV regularly in years. I don't doubt that this is the best thing going in kids' shows nowadays... but I haven't watched a kids' show since Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Yes.

The term itself is more or less harmless, just a slang term for someone who likes the MLP show. So yeah, I do consider myself a brony, but not so much of one that I would make content based off the show like fan fiction/photos.

Yeah... I am. The show is good you should join the escapist group if you love seen captions, fan art, and funny vids. BUT I can say I'm not a big fan of the shipping, Fan fiction, or Adult or furry stuff. Most Bronies arn't even into that stuff but its a popular troll against it.

Now that's out the way: I really enjoy this show, I like the animation, I like the voice acting and I like the attention to small details easily overlooked. If they wanted to they could miss the details and most of the audience wouldn't notice but they make the effort to put it in anyway. I love how it inspires people to make videos or images or even to go and draw. It's full of warm fuzzies and happy feelings. Am I unmanly for liking it? No.

I've often wondered how many people are railing against the title and if the same animation style, plot, characters and voice acting were used but with a different animal how many people would watch it.

Not aimed at anyone currently present but I like how people complain about gritty brown graphics but when something bright and colourful comes along they hate it. I think people just like to complain.
