I've leaned towards dogs most of my life because one of my cats was very prone to scratching you, but currently I'm more of a cat person. One of my late cats randomly appearing out of nowhere on walks helps (we called him "ninja kitty").
ok where to start?matnatz said:I've seen plenty of dogs survive on their own.
Anyways, dogs, in my opinion are smarter. Cats, to me, rely mostly on instinct, not to mention that dogs have in the past solved puzzles similar to what you give to a primate. The Soviets even sent a dog into space and the police, military and rescue services use dogs all the time.
And aside from all of that, dogs have always shown genuine love and care towards me, cats have not. Dogs are also much more interesting, have more personality, provide security and they don't walk all over your kitchen surfaces. And anyways, how often do cats save peoples lives?
I laughed pretty hard at this. I have to agree with you there.Thaius said:Dogs are hyperactive, irritating attention whores. They have no concept of personal space and always try to get you to pay attention to them. They're like that annoying kid at school that wants to be part of your group, so he always hangs around trying to talk about relevant things despite the fact that he has nothing to say outside of his bug collection and his next optometrist appointment: he's annoying and you don't want him around, but he always hangs around you anyway because he wants your acceptance and attention more than anything else in the world, including your happiness.
Cats, always. They don't particularly care, but if you get the right cat, they will just curl up on your lap and sit there purring as long as you want them to. I love cats.
