I have to say, I now love you. You are only the second person in history whom I've met online that knows who that is. And the one person I've met in real life that knows who he is and isn't me only knows that because I showed him the series.Sierra102 said:I can only remember someones face and name, if they speak to me twice during the day and say they're name,
and your name is now Urashima Keitaro.
This - I still remember the name from a kid I saw on the street a couple Kilometres away from our school. In second grade ... But unless they do something special, I have to hang out once or twice to remember their names. But I do remember them arn well!LopezMeister said:I'd say I'm both tbh. Once I've learnt someone's name, I'll remember them (I'd say forever but I can't really put that to the test) even if they don't remember me. The problem I sometimes encounter however is not knowing why I know someone. I was at a party a few months ago and a girl who's name I knew and who I recognised who also recognised me but couldn't remember my name came up and re-introduced herself. Neither of us could remember where we'd met or why we knew each other and she wasn't associated with the person who's party it was but came as someone elses date. Was quite a wierd experience and neither of us know why we know each other.
And this. I usually don't even recognize peoples names before I see the avatar for a second time. If you've wronged me somehow, just change your avatar! I'll be your best friend in a matter of seconds =Pblack lincon said:Absolutely, I usually remember people based on avatars, it mixes me up when people change them.
You mean like .. Keitaro? Urashima Keitaro? Seriously? Allright. I thought for a while I was the only one who enjoyed that series =PAjna said:I have to say, I now love you. Same here. I recognize faces/avatars easily, but not names. I´m terrible with names. Although, in real life while walking around, I usually don´t pay much attention to passers-by, so I also easily miss familiar faces. Afterwards I get to listen someone whine about how I didn´t greet them (because I didn´t notice them in the first place.) Perhaps I should stop being so damn oblivious. Perhaps.black lincon said:Absolutely, I usually remember people based on avatars, it mixes me up when people change them. The infamous SCAMola said:Face.
It even applies here on the Escapist.
