Wheres that weird guy that feels he's a martyr to the furry cause...

Wasn't he banned?
I've been lurking for quite a while and I think the guy you are talking about is CidSilverWing.

I don't think he has been banned, he just doesn't use these forums much after getting some bad reactions to his "furry-ness" from some of the less open minded members of the community.
Yeah, poor guy. It's not like he refered to himself as being as martyr, suffering from injustice of the world focusing on destroying him.

Not a Furry, I also don't have a massive hate on for all things anthropomorphic.

I have no issues with the "lifestyle" though.
This. I have no issue with it because it has no effect on me whatsoever.

I have to go with the really depends on what you consider a furry. I am not personally into putting on the costumes or looking at porn of that sort but I do think that they can be pretty good looking. But it really boils down to what you consider a furry.

I don't get what the big deal is. I'm not a furry fan myself but everyone always gets all psycho about people who are into fur. It's a fetish like any other is it not?

No, in my opinion it's creepy, unnatural and weird. But each to their own, just don't wear an animal suit and try to have sex with another near me. DX

One distinction - It is not a fetish in the sexual sense, in as much as anime fans are not implicitly be hentai fans.

Did he get banned? I remember seeing a thread almost exactly like this a long time back. He basically said we were all furries in one way or another.
Personally, I have no problems with them as long as they don't show me any of their pictures and I myself am not a furry
0.0 It sounds like he was asking for trouble...

*sigh* That is far from my intention here, however.

(Did he make the "Humans = animals" argument?)
Not that I remember. He basically said if we liked watching cartoons such as Looney Tunes and Mickey Mouse, we were furries.

Fair enough, consider it not done.

There are obviously different definitions. Case in point, I am about to make another edit to clarify that furryism is not implicitly a fetish.

Well then that makes this whole thread even more insignificant in my eyes!

im not into them but i dont see why it should be treated any differently to fetishes such as bondage, and i'm definately not in support of the recent protests against them in america, one slogan of which was "furries yiff in hell".

I enjoy all the wonderfully debased porn that comes out of the furry fandom. But then again I wallow in the filth that is human sexuality and actively seek out the most ridiculous aspects of it. Furry never fails to disappoint.

Threads like this serve no purpose because the majority of the responses will always be made in the knowledge that anything remotely offensive/troll-like will be reported. A lot of the replies here are unneccesarily polite for a thread on the Internet and are such mostly because of the threat of a suspension hanging over the poster's head. You will find no honest answers here. Pose the same question on 4chan and you'll be told (not unneccesarily, I might add) to blast yourself out of the nearest airlock.

I love the internet so much.

I will state for the record that I have not reported anyone, nor do I think anyone can say anything that would imbue me with the desire to report them.

I am open to respectful commentary in as much as I am open to snide remarks meant to be humorous and ironic.
