No, I am not a furry. Human looking animals just looks bizarre imo.

That said, humans with animal-like qualities is ok by me. If its more human than animal then I probably like it, for example catgirls, centaurs, mermaids, etc.
I myself find catgirls to be cute as hell.
Thirded.
Id find it well fun taking someone home whos not in a full on suit but with little ears or just a bunnytail or something.

Crazy girls = awesome sex.
Like a girl in a Halloween costume, right?
Yeah. Except in the UK it would be a zombie girl on halloween, and thats a totally different topic. :p
Or is it? *dramatic orchestral stab*
Yes, I like my sleeping partners to still be warm.

I think roleplaing a necro would be worse than being a furry, but I have never met or seen any, so I dont know how full on they get with it. :p
Or we could stop this tangent as soon as possible. 0.0

Neither the necromantic nature, nor the sexual connotation fall under the premise as listed in the OP.

Therein, I respectfully request that this line be seen to its end - thank you.
Ok sorry, do tend to go too far when talking about certain things. :p

I was a Raccoon-boy for a convention so... yeah! BTW, would that make Mario a furry? 0_o
That's up for debate. I'd say NO in big, red letters.
Are you sure? In SMB3 full frog, and tanuki suits, and in Galaxy a full bee suit... I smell a closet furry...

I made it pretty clear before (And I think my avatar does as well) that I am a furry. I don't go over the top about it, or bawwww when people say "fucking furries" or attempt to troll me.
I'm saying Mario's a closet furry, with his chests full of animal suits...
Oh wops, I misunderstood you're post, sorry 'bout that. Yeah according such evidence Mario could be a closet furry, but he's not a furry.
While I do agree that Mario does not come across as a Furry - it does remain a humorous and sardonic analysis.

Thank you for your respectful correction of your mistake, I maintain that level heads will prevail in this thread.
Although it would have been pretty funny to have a drama llama here.....
*Shivers* Please no...

Among things that provide me with discomfort, needless drama takes high precedence (along with bees, and spiders...)

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Kill it with fire and BEEEEEES!

(ok! Enough 2-sense references! No! Bad ManveruAltharen! The other posters don't know about this stuff!)

I have among my friends a rather charming "puppy," and I've never seen the point of hating on them. His kink doesn't affect me in any way. He's not trying to coax me into ears and a tail, and he doesn't crawl around and bark in my presence, though once in a while I will give him an affectionately teasing skritch on the head.

I honestly don't understand why people care. The argument that they want to "ruin everything you like" makes no sense to me. First of all, it's an incredibly narcissistic view of their fan-art, which is not done for anyone but other furs. Determined to ruin everything you like? They don't know what you like! Nor is it likely that they would care, even if they did. There is no evil furry cabal plotting the overthrow of all your childhood memories.

The irony being that if I were to start wailing about misogynist imagery in fan-art, the same people would most likely tell me to quit BAAWWWWWing about it, this is the internet, if I don't like it quit looking at it.

Thus far, you are the only one being a douche. There is a totally civilized discussion going on, and you are trying to flame it all to hell. Gtfo.
Right... do you even know what the word flame means? Thought not...

Kind of contradictory to your points telling me to "gtfo" (seriously you have to use abbreviations?) Seems as though the only "douche" here is you.

Look at the quality of discussion on this thread - its horrendous - I'm trying to discourage these kind of threads - people like you are encouraging them.
You are funny. Just stop with the hate, and leave this thread. They are talking, you are being a hateful ****. Stop it, and make sure you thank your mom for making you grilled cheese again for lunch.

Hmm, sounds like a "I know I'm wrong so I'll tell him to leave the thread" comment - thanks for confirming your idiocy...

I must respectfully request that both parties involved with this particular sequence dissolve their involvement. I do not ask that you leave, so much as not speak with, of, or to one another.

If you feel the need to continue, please do so in a PM with one another. If this is a paltry resolution, I would be happy to arbitrate a settlement between you.

Puppies and kitties are some of the most playful and affectionate people I have ever met. Attention happy perhaps, but well meaning. =^.^=

As for this:

"There is no evil furry cabal plotting the overthrow of all your childhood memories."

:33 I am half tempted to take a chance and joke that there IS some sort of cabal, but I have already sworn to keep this thread as mature and level headed as possible.

"His kink doesn't affect me in any way"

Ignoring the sexual connotation of the word "kink," it is fancifully appropriate for this genre.

"He's not trying to coax me into ears and a tail, and he doesn't crawl around and bark in my presence,"

Conversions are not a matter of normal fare, and those that do push the matter are looked down upon from both sides of the fence.

"though once in a while I will give him an affectionately teasing skritch on the head."

You are most kind for offering the occasional skritch, and I can assure you, he appreciates it more than you might imagine.

Thank you for your impassioned and reminiscent comments, and your respect for other's inclinations.

In my friend's case, he is, in fact, a kinky person, though I don't think that being furry is actually a sexual kink for him. But even if it were, my point stands. He's a furry, he might even be one of "those kind of furries," but why would it matter to me? I remember going out for drinks with him once and a couple of his furry buddies came along. I would have never known but Morris asked me ahead of time if I would mind, which I didn't. One of them was wearing fox ears, but he was also wearing a cape. A cape. Clearly, the guy was just one of those geeks who is unapologetically, publicly weird, and the fact that he was wearing fox ears was incidental. He could have been wearing Spock ears or elf ears or stick-on vampire teeth. The point is that, really, the guy wasn't a furry so much as he was just a weirdo. A very polite, quietly outgoing weirdo, and very pleasant company.

In fact, especially for people who ARE "that kind of furry" these arguments make even less sense. They really never intended for other people to see their drawings, etc. in most cases, and you can't blame them if it's some troll's idea of fun to go digging through their forums and webpages, collecting the material they produced for each other and splashing it up all over non-fur websites as some sort of joke. They get their privacy invaded by trolls and then they get blamed for it by people who, in most cases, willingly clicked on the "look at this furrie shit their so sick lol!" link someone posted on some website or forum. You don't get to deliberately go look at someone else's stuff for the purpose of point-and-laugh and then turn around and get mad when you "can't unsee" stuff you very deliberately looked at in the first place. The furries aren't determined to spoil things for other people, the trolls who expose them for teh lulz, however, are.

People enjoy different things. Some people enjoy really different things. After 20 years of hanging out with freaks, geeks, spazzes, kinksters, and weirdos of all stripes, I can tell you that this "Ewww! Kill it! Kill it!" reaction (and seriously, with all the fucked up people in the world, the furries are the ones you want to put up against the wall? Perspective much?) is going to cost you the friendship of some of the sweetest, most upbeat people you will ever meet.

No but I do have friends that are and I find that they are not different then non furries.

NOTE. Anti-furries make me sick, just because you don't like/believe what furries do, doesn't give you the god damn right to be an arse to them, you can just avoid them. Just accept them for who they are, if you want to go out of your way to abuse them, you desrve a boot to the face as a wake up call.

If I could ignore the epicness of me being a werewolf I would still like furries. and being a member of the community. Either waaaaay for all the furry haters you can go out remembering that you are technically racist.

I believe that there are some whom might argue the distinction. I will, however, leave that to your sensibilities. Thank you for your contribution.

There is no denial that lycanthropy has natural charm. I am forced to stifle inclinations to make light of the "twilight," trend. That aside, perhaps you could elaborate on your "racism" argument. While I see where you are coming from, I am not making all of the connections.
