I used to talk at lying, I fail at lying where I have to stand around, but if it's on the spot and I can slip it in quick I'm rather good at lying, but a stare will get me every time, well, most of the time.

I don't lie.
I do not tell all the whole story, and I disguise harsh truths to make them sound nicer than they are.
But I most definitely do not ever lie.

I'm the master of lying and deception. If it could benefit me somehow, I would lie to my senile grandmother, and have a good time doing it, too.

[small]I may or may not be skewing the truth slightly.[/small]

I'm a very, very good liar. I'm actually fairly sure I could defeat a polygraph.

I'm also extremely good at manipulation. I can grasp your weaknesses, hopes, fears, dreams, and bend you to my whims while you think I'm your best friend. I sometimes play up the Dumb Blonde stereotype, sometimes the innocent blond surfer-boy from California, sometimes the artistic loner, sometimes the misunderstood asocial. Sometimes the educated intellectual. I have many hats -- so very many hats. Which one is really me? You may never know.

But where I really and truly excel is knowing when people lie. My friends use my as a lie detector when they need to know the truth. The movies lie, not everyone has a tell. But there are definite signs. Voice tempo, cadence, frequency of eye contact.

Depends on the person. My parents I have no problem with. My bf, he's so crafty that he just knows when I'm lying.

I can lie convincingly to almost everyone. The exception of my girlfriend, who can generally tell, luckily she's generally in on it, or finds it funny, so it all works out in the end.

Edit: By convincingly I mean that the people don't figure it out.

I voted for the second option, because I'm not the best, but I would say I'm pretty good at lying.

It all depends on the situation.

If its a case of telling a big lie for a joke, such as spinning an unbelievable story to see how gullible somoene is, I used to be fairly good, but I always told the person soon afterwards I was making it up. If its lying in general then I'm rubbish as I have a hyperactive guilt complex. I am however very good at distorting/bending the truth to breaking point. For example, I once took a day off college because "I had to help my parents get to the airport" which in reality meant taking them to the bus station thats a 2 minute walk from the college.

I can lie to everyone but my family. When I lie to them I always start to laugh...damn it!

So, if I choose the "Great at Lying" option when I'm not great at lying, that would mean that I AM a great liar, which then means I'm NOT lying when I choose that option, which means I'm NOT a great liar, which means I WAS lying...

I can lie quite well, but I don't do it instinctively. Normally I only tell the truth, or say nothing, but I can fool people if I want... Probably because they think I'm always telling the truth.

Apparently, I'm pretty good. There's only one person I can't fool no matter what and that's because she knows me inside and out anyways.

When it comes to my family I am a terrible liar. But when it comes to friends, acquaintances, or complete strangers... I am a fantastic liar.
