are there any reasons to think that these forums are statistically different than the world at large? If not, why have the poll?

Without an ambidextrous option, I have to agree. Nerds are far more likely than other demographics to attempt to train themselves to become ambidextrous, so there should be a significant difference in the statistics on a nerdy site like this, but it's meaningless without that poll option.

I'm an extreme lefty.. i only oppose that when playing the guitar, otherwise i almost never use my right hand for something that only requires the use of one hand.

I can play tennis and eat cereal at the same time, because I am ampidexterous. Not really, but I don't actually have a go-to hand. I throw, punch, block, and carry trays with my left, but eat and write with my right. It definitely makes life interesting.

Definitely a lefty. Honestly, you could cut off my right arm and I'm not sure I would notice. I love it though. Being left handed paid for college!

i'm a rightie though wanted to be a leftie for a while when i found out Link was a leftie. someone once told me that left handed people have a lower life expectancy than right handed people
